Briana I loved this book, an although I saw the plot twist coming it still shocked me so much! I was loving Raihn so much but now I have such mixed feelings about him. I can’t wait to get the next book to continue reading

Nat Smyth I loved it too, but also saw plot twist coming. That being said though, I still felt heart broken.
Have you read book 2? For me, Raihn got a bit better.

Vasoulaki I LOVE The Crowns of Nyaxia Series! I was so mad at Oraya for her choice at the end of book 1! But, it gets better in book 2. So much better. Have you read Six Scorched Roses?

Nat Smyth I haven’t yet. Any good?

Vasoulaki This novella is so good. It's about Vale and Lilith. How they met etc etc. Carissa Broadbent's writing is brilliant in this one.

Calvina I DNF it.

Nat Smyth I just finished it. I believe this is the perfect novella. Loved every moment. Short and sweet.

Sar I loved it but I didn't feel the need to read the second book idk if it makes sense.

Helena T. S. I loved it! Im a sucker for trials and for Raihn. I know why he did what he did but he did betray Oraya. Hoping he can win her over in the second book.

nyausea I'm not a fan of the male love interest... Raihn is too flawed of a character for me to commit to reading the second novel in the series. Other than the distasteful male love interest, I did not enjoy Carissa's world-building. I felt as though there was more tell than show. Overall, my opinion is that if there was better world-building, and more of an emphasis on Oraya's character as an individual, then maybe I would consider reading the second.

Ghost Girl I loved this book so so much I couldn't put it down. It really pulled at something in me and I wished it had dug a little deeper into Oraya and her father. I don't know, I just wanted more, even though it gave a lot

Mimi I loved the first book and even though I saw the plottwist coming as well, I still really and enjoyed it. The second book is really good as well and it picks up great on Orayas loss of her father and the start of a new chapter in her life! (And that's being said even though I read it a few months ago!)

Kate Campbell I LOVED the first book, the second book was a bit too political for me to enjoy. I preferred the action in the first one but the last few chapters of book 2 were really great. I still think about the characters to this day and I finished it last year!

Amira I DNF it, the MMC just wasn’t doing it for me and the whole plot wasn’t as captivating as everyone makes it out to be it’s definitely overhyped

message 15: by Vic (new) - rated it 4 stars

Vic I gave it four stars because I love trials and devoted book boyfriends, although the ending gave me mixed feelings. I was expecting it but still didn't like it, like Raihn's image change too much for me. I'm going to wait a few months before reading the second book, I keep on having this sense of betrayal that does not leaves haha!

Elizabeth Kimbrell I loved this book so much. Literally my vibe and I have to admit I cried twice. Loved the ending - loved the MMC so much and really felt he wasnt as morally grey as some made out ...Also read the 2nd book and loved the plot and the whole world created -

Zaire Bergeron I love this book series. Raihn and Oraya are just sooo !!!!!! I love them together. I think Raihn understands her more than she does herself or even him. I had mixed feelings about him too finishing the 1st book but I understand the reasonings behind it. Also, I hope we get a third follow up book about them. Especially the year of Nyaxia's revenge!

Zaire Bergeron Amira wrote: "I DNF it, the MMC just wasn’t doing it for me and the whole plot wasn’t as captivating as everyone makes it out to be it’s definitely overhyped" I really think the 2nd book will resolve this for you if you haven't read it already!

Hilda's Library I actually enjoyed it. I read it for my book club and I felt like it was really slow in the beginning, but it moves really fast by chapters 3. I also couldn't understand her father early on in the book.

But overall it was a really good book. I'm planning to read the second part soon.
