There's also the Under the Never Sky trilogy by Veronica Rossi (it has a fade to black scene).

There's Dissonance and Resonance by Erica O'Rourke

You could try Integrate by Adele Jones.

You could also try one of my books, like The Verindon Alliance.



Divergent and The Maze Runner do have violence. I am not sure how much you are okay with, but I would look into them before reading them!

Good point. I think The Declaration probably has some too. I was using Hunger Games as a baseline :)






The Guilded Ones is really good as well, the only thing is it might be a bit gory.
I would read more books by Merissa Meyer, the Lunar Chronicles are especially good.

I liked them, but the second book is quite disturbing in places, although technically YA. The first book was tamer from memory.
