Your spreadsheet, Round 1 tab, has been updated with your first three characters: Tiana, Quasimodo, & Tinkerbell! Please remember that the challenge begins on 8/1 and that you only need to finish 4 tasks (out of the 8) before getting a new character.


FYI —this will be what the colors mean for the same round.
Light Pink will be a new character.
Light Purple will be when you complete the first 4 out of 8 tasks.
Dark Pink will be the new character you have but need to complete the remaining 4 tasks.
Dark Purple will be a fully completed character.

Tinkerbell - "Repair" in text
Quas - Set in Paris
Quas - Read a book from the Best Fiction with Disfigured/Disabled Leads List
Quas - Features a church
Quas - "Monster" in text

Ok great! I was trying to read through the rules and understand if you can use the book to cover only one goal or if a book can apply to multiple. Thoughts?

Hello! I am currently reading Zodiac Academy Shadow Princess
I haven't checked the tasks yet, I'll let you know what I could possibly use later

i’m currently reading which will work for tiana: instrument on cover. i read earlier. i’m not sure if it can count for any current prompts, so i might have to save it for another character.

if these books match any of our currently assigned prompts, go ahead and use them for those prompts so we can get a new character quicker!

So I just finished and will post my review in a bit for Shadow Princess

It works for:
Tinkerbell - Letters P,A,N in title (in any order)
Tinkerbell - Features a sassy character (Tory)
Tinkerbell - MC's first/last name starts with T (Tory)

I can go for letters P,A,N in title since the other 2 might be easier to find

oh wait... I am a bit confused now, should we do the characters in order? So Tiana then Quasimodo then Tinkerbell? Or can we do Tinkerbell before Quasimodo?

I posted the review but I can come back to change it as needed when we get an answer from Alaina.
So in case I have to change the review to Quasimodo, this is how it fits:

MC has a nickname - Tory = Roxy or Little Vega, Darius = Dragon Boy
'Monster' in text (pg/% & quote)

We can do the characters in any order we want.

This is likely a silly questions but curious what MPG Dark and MPG Mystery stand for? I assume something to do with the plot or vibe of the book but I couldn't find it when I looked it up. Thanks!

MPG = main page genre so what genres show up on Goodreads page if that helps :)

I've just finished still beating by Jennifer Hartmen. When I've searched the book 'dark' has come up as a genre on 'related shelves'. Just checking this applies for Quasimodo MPG Dark?

Also I started the book in July but I was only on Chapter 21 (Pg 167) when it was August. The book was 336 pages so I read 169 pages in August. I'll put this information when I put the book down

“dark” is a shelf on the main page for that book, so it works!

Guys I noticed that for Kuzco and Simba the "assigned" boxes are all checked.
Is this by mistake or is someone banking their books for some of the tasks?

I do the assigned boxes when you are assigned that character.
