I'll start!

EVERYWHERE! Next trip: Prague and Germany solo trip with my 5 month old baby. This year I also hope to go to Norway and Sweden with my husband, 2.5 year old, and baby.

I have unfortunately many health conditions which would make it risky for me to travel outside of Canada, due to the risk of falling ill in another country, including the USA, thus incurring medical costs which could bankrupt me (I am a 69 y.o. pensioner with a fixed, fairly low income, diabetes 2, half-clogged heart arteries and arthritis). However, I still am ready to travel within Canada, an immense country with lots to see in it. I live near Montreal, in the Province of Quebec, and eventually intend to visit with my family the Canadian West Coast, particularly Vancouver Island, so that we could see the giant trees there and watch the whales near the coast. Being in Canada would let me fully covered by the Canadian medicare system.

Kat, this is amazing. :) It you go to Sweden and are going through Stockholm, see the Vasamuseet. It's a massive preserved ship that sunk in the Baltic Sea, lay submerged for centuries, and then was excavated off the sea floor. It's very well preserved and super cool!

PleasePassThePepper | 1 comments I enjoy traveling vicariously through my favorite characters. Unfortunately, financial constraints make traveling impossible, even now at my age. Working is not an option. It’s mandatory. So, I am blessed to have books, books and more books! I’m very blessed.

Beth Elliott (goodreadscombethelliottcom) | 15 comments I love travelling in small, traditional countries, especially around the Mediterranean and in Central Europe. It's always an adventure and a true picture of what life is like there. I want to go back to Albania to see the inland mountainous area; and hope to visit North Cyprus before it gets too modernised.

Aren't books just the best for that?

Cecelia Tichi | 74 comments Ideal travel destinations? Does time travel count? Authoring mystery novels set in the US Gilded Age, I make repeated pilgrimages to Newport, Rhode Island. I always give thanks to those who understood the value of preserving the past for future generations and undertook the monumental task of fund raising to maintain these rare sites and ward off the wrecking ball. The summertime splendor of elite Gilded Age Newport is is on view in the mansion-size "Cottages" of the 1880s-90s, a good many open to the public. Visitors tour spaces occupied by marquee names of the era: Astor, Belmont, Vanderbilt! For this writer of historical mystery fiction, destination Newport invites and demands my presence, attention, and admiration!
