Another complicated adventure with Harry Hole in Norway. Coming to dead ends on the case of his colleague's murder, Harry gets pulled onto a bank robbery case that ended in murder. He starts working with a young colleague who's father was also on the force before he died trying to stop a similar case. She has the very cool trait of knowing/ remembering every face she has ever seen and it is a good partnership. Harry does better with the right colleague. In the meantime, Harry gets himself mixed up in another death but he can't quite recall what happened having blacked out. Raquel is fighting for custody in Russia and he examines his relationship with her and trying to stay on the right path.
Each twist had 5 more twists which was exciting but also maybe more intense than needed. I do enjoy the investigations and interactions with others on the force. I like how Nesbo manages to tie in the overarching stories into each book as well now. I will keep enjoying the series.
