Sounds like you've really been through it, Diane.. Glad you're home, rest well and take good care.

This isn't about me though, I just wanted to point out that you are not alone. I am sure there are many others on this group who have had struggles in their lives. I don't know what family and friends you have, but I am positive there is someone in your life that would greatly miss you if you were gone. There is help, please call someone, or even just go to the hospital and tell them what is going on. Please keep us updated, best wishes and virtual hugs.
I had a bit of a scare last night and spent 4 hours in the ER. I'm ok, was there from 3 in the morning. Got home and because I hadn't been to sleep I went straight to bed. Cit to a few hours later and my youngest daughter brings the phone to me. One of my parents' dogs died in his sleep last night. Rebel (a very handsome Staffordshire Bull Terrier) has not been well for a few weeks, but I don't anyone was expecting him to go quite so quickly. I'm glad he's not suffering anymore but I didn't think it would hurt this much. The kids are devastated, especially my eldest. The animal people are taking his body away today so that he can be cremated and then his ashes be buried in the garden. I worry for Tino, his brother, how will he fare now, I don't know. I feel utterly emotionally drained.

Cyberhugs for you. XOXO
Janet,
very sad, my thoughts are with you and your parents, a loss of any pet is heart breaking.
Hopefully Tino will be fine.

Janet - my sympathy in the loss of a family pet. So hard as pets are members of our families. Also, hope you are well and feel better soon.

don't know if this will make you feel better but I have a short story.
My 21 year old cat, Cleo, walked out into the garage with me one afternoon last year and just laid down and died. After we had our burial for her in the back garden, I walked into the garage hearing a mew from a kitty. A kitten was sitting up toward the front door of the garage; it was the exact same color as Cleo. Of course we adopted him.

Patricia, loved your story, what did you call your new kitten.

We just called him Grey. Mysteriously, he died but dragged himself up to the drive and under my car. Then, another showed up and we named him Baby. He is still running around and has attracted the biggest kitty I have ever seen that I have named Igor.
Igor can open the patio door and climb onto my buffet. Every once in a while, I enter the hall and find him asleep on one of my place mats on the buffet. When I pick him up I am certain that cat must weigh 20 pounds. When I tell him to go outside he is pretty good about leaving.

I also have a dog...part Chihuahua and part whatever white and fluffy. Her name is Tilly and has been raised around cats since I took her home at 7 weeks.
One day I was sitting in my office (where I put the cat litter) and Tilly
decided to climb into the cat litter and pee. She then jumped out and stuck her nose into the litter to bury it. Geez, this was the perfect time to have my iphone on video.

I think you could keep us all entertained with stories about your pets.

She also sings. Particularly the ad that deal with Viagra. At first we thought it hurt her ears but her doctor said that she just likes the song.

Marian,I am so sorry that I missed your question. I cannot suggest any homeopathic remedies for asthma only a trained homeopath should recommend a remedy for you.
There can be many remedies for asthma, a homeopath will spend an average of 90 minutes with you discussing your health issues.
Their approach is to heal the body as a whole, not just parts. I have used homeopathy with great success,I have a rather open-minded approach to healing.
I think there is a place for conventional medicine as well as alternative medicine.

Ha ha, that is so funny, I've never seen the ad, in fact I don't think I have ever seen an ad for Viagra, but just the thought of a cat singing to one, really cracks me up. :)

Tilly is my dog. She is the singer. And, for everyone's information she has been fixed. She doesn't need viagra.

Sorry so she is.

I love cats and dogs. The first dog I lost was a German Shepherd. We sat on the stairs and cried for awhile before regaining our composure.

Man, I still have tears everyday for my dear kitty, who died in my arms on March 17.

X0X0 Christine...
Nora, hang in there, take it a day at a time, reach out to your friends and hug them tight, remember, we never get anything that we can't handle.. this too shall pass and happy days will be here again... Prayers and love your way....
Janet, sorry about your pet, but he will be keeping Christine's cat company up in pet heaven... Don't worry Tino will do well with the love and support from your family....
Nora, I know what you are going through and there IS a light in the tunnel, a very bright one. After loss and years of grief of a loved one, therapy, exercise, and proper medication have made me whole again, and it
is my wish that you find someone, anyone, who can help you with that too. Do not give up, call a therapist today, now. They can do wonders. Love to you all.

You guys are so sweet, thanks for being here for me. It's much appreciated.
Cyber hugs all round!

Just say "Onward and Upward".

Janet, I am so sorry to hear about your pet. My cousin has a lovely dog and I would be devastated if he died.
Diane, happy to hear you are back home. Hope everything goes well!

Nora, we are all here for you to talk to, anytime. I am a good listener.
Take care Diane. Get some rest.
Thanks, Sue. I spoke to my mum earlier in the evening. My dad isn't doing great, he's taken it really badly which I expected. Rebel's brother, Tino is definitely a grieving dog. I just hope he has the strength to carry on.

That's how these two were, Sue. Always, always together. When they slept they were like a big ball. It's heartbreaking really. I'll have to see if I can upload some photos, such handsome boys.
Janet sorry to hear about the loss of your family pet. It's heartbreaking!
Patricia, I loved your story, it brought a tear to my eye.
