Nora aka Diva (DuctTapeDiva) | 66 comments Financially I am tanked. Emotionally I am beyond the lowest I have ever been. Last Tuesday I actually tried to hang myself in the garage but I guess I don't realize how tall or heavy I really am. The rope was too long and I landed on my toes. Why did I wear my steal toe shoes? I am on "medical leave" until I can get a medical release from my Doctor. Whom I haven't even contacted yet. I just feel agitated and stressed.

Diane S ☔ | 2077 comments Wow Nora I can relate but please get someone to talk to fast. I just returned home from 32 days in the hospital, am so weak at times I too feel like I will never be the same. But use the friends and support you, have, cry on someone's shoulder, but please reach out immediately. Very worried for you.

message 54: by DianeAlice (new)

DianeAlice | 142 comments Nora, so sorry to hear you're feeling so low. Do you have anyone to reach out and talk to about this? Family or friends? Or failing that, a helpline where you can unburden yourself? However bad things look there is always a solution to be found with the help of others. I do understand how you feel as I suffer with depression too but ending your life isn't the answer I promise you. I don't know your circumstances but I'm sure there must be someone in your life who would be devastated if this was to happen and who would want to help you. Please make that doctors appointment and if you want to talk, just message me.

message 55: by Patricia (new)

Patricia | 1266 comments Nora - Please, Please contact someone to talk to about what you are feeling, what you are dealing with, and what you attempted to do. I appreciate that you wrote to us and shared your feelings. Sharing something so personal - that information is a gift to those of us who receive it. BUT, we are only an online presence so please talk with someone in person so he/she can help.

Diane S ☔ | 2077 comments Home now, after over a month in the hospital. Still have a pretty heavy steroid load to taper down, eleven other pill bottles and am very weak. Spending quite a bit of time in bed. Tomorrow is a Doc's visit so I have my fingers crossed.

Lynn Renee | 1706 comments Diane S., Great that you are home. I'm sure you are able to relax more there. Steroids can be so helpful, but can be trouble too. Hope everything stays on track and you are able to lower the load without any more problems. Stay well.

message 64: by Lynn Renee (new)

Lynn Renee | 1706 comments Nora, Please contact someone you are able to talk to in person. Just having a person that you can talk to can be so helpful. Putting your problems into words and voicing them. I've been there, (not the suicide attempt), but no money, not knowing where the rent was coming from, food, bills, etc., failed relationships you name it I've been there.

This isn't about me though, I just wanted to point out that you are not alone. I am sure there are many others on this group who have had struggles in their lives. I don't know what family and friends you have, but I am positive there is someone in your life that would greatly miss you if you were gone. There is help, please call someone, or even just go to the hospital and tell them what is going on. Please keep us updated, best wishes and virtual hugs.

I had a bit of a scare last night and spent 4 hours in the ER. I'm ok, was there from 3 in the morning. Got home and because I hadn't been to sleep I went straight to bed. Cit to a few hours later and my youngest daughter brings the phone to me. One of my parents' dogs died in his sleep last night. Rebel (a very handsome Staffordshire Bull Terrier) has not been well for a few weeks, but I don't anyone was expecting him to go quite so quickly. I'm glad he's not suffering anymore but I didn't think it would hurt this much. The kids are devastated, especially my eldest. The animal people are taking his body away today so that he can be cremated and then his ashes be buried in the garden. I worry for Tino, his brother, how will he fare now, I don't know. I feel utterly emotionally drained.

It is terrible enough knowing you are losing your pet, but sudden loss is almost too much to bear. My heart goes out to you and your family at this very sad time.

Cyberhugs for you. XOXO

Janet - my sympathy in the loss of a family pet. So hard as pets are members of our families. Also, hope you are well and feel better soon.

message 72: by Patricia (new)

Patricia Bergman (marshop) | 1229 comments Janet,

don't know if this will make you feel better but I have a short story.

My 21 year old cat, Cleo, walked out into the garage with me one afternoon last year and just laid down and died. After we had our burial for her in the back garden, I walked into the garage hearing a mew from a kitty. A kitten was sitting up toward the front door of the garage; it was the exact same color as Cleo. Of course we adopted him.

We just called him Grey. Mysteriously, he died but dragged himself up to the drive and under my car. Then, another showed up and we named him Baby. He is still running around and has attracted the biggest kitty I have ever seen that I have named Igor.

Igor can open the patio door and climb onto my buffet. Every once in a while, I enter the hall and find him asleep on one of my place mats on the buffet. When I pick him up I am certain that cat must weigh 20 pounds. When I tell him to go outside he is pretty good about leaving.

I also have a dog...part Chihuahua and part whatever white and fluffy. Her name is Tilly and has been raised around cats since I took her home at 7 weeks.

One day I was sitting in my office (where I put the cat litter) and Tilly
decided to climb into the cat litter and pee. She then jumped out and stuck her nose into the litter to bury it. Geez, this was the perfect time to have my iphone on video.

Marian,I am so sorry that I missed your question. I cannot suggest any homeopathic remedies for asthma only a trained homeopath should recommend a remedy for you.
There can be many remedies for asthma, a homeopath will spend an average of 90 minutes with you discussing your health issues.
Their approach is to heal the body as a whole, not just parts. I have used homeopathy with great success,I have a rather open-minded approach to healing.
I think there is a place for conventional medicine as well as alternative medicine.

is my wish that you find someone, anyone, who can help you with that too. Do not give up, call a therapist today, now. They can do wonders. Love to you all.
