Went to the Idomeni refugee/migrant transit camp on the Greek border with FYR Macedonia yesterday, which receives thousands of people per day on route for Germany and northern Europe. We drove the 600km round trip to give them our gifts of 90 litres of water, plastic sheeting for 19 families, medicines and a big sack of shoes. Here’s a snap. We had a blessed day!

Thank you Loretta!

Shock and horror at the awful attach on Paris yesterday.
My thoughts go out to all the family and friends, and especially those trying to find out the news on the love ones still missing.
this is so sad with 129 dead
352 injured, 99 of those life threatening injuries.
Just heartbreaking.

Let's also not forget: Lebanon where two suicide bombers killed 43 people, Japan where a 7.0 earthquake killed 18000, and triggered a tsunami, Mexico who also had a 4.3 earthquake, Baghdad where suicide bombers and roadside bombs killed 36, and China where mudslides have injured around 100 people.
My thoughts are with all of these countries and people in these harrowing times.

I don't see how anyone could take it the wrong way O.o We're offering love to all countries who need it, so I don't see how that could be bad :(

That's absolutely horrific! :(

For those in Paris, again I cannot imagine the horror of what memories they will have to live with. I have not been watching the news very much. Anymore, these atrocities seem to upset me terribly.
I think a large scale war is inevitable.

We also are hearing this on CNN, here in Toronto. I pray this is not true. Be safe.

Because that person who took offense at the fact that Amy was thinking about non-Parisians in ADDITION to the citizens of Paris was a heartless IDIOT!
Amy, I apologize for calling you Kerry.
Kirsten/Sue: Human nature. This is why I believe that there is no way the war on terror will ever be "won" until we as a species are GONE.
Janet: No. As a species we've been doomed to this since Cain killed Abel out of jealousy.
Pat: That's EXACTLY what jackasses like ISIS WANT! Violence begets violence! Fear drives away compassion!
Aymen/Kirsten: Precisely. "Man's inhumanity to man."
Paul: Very good advice. Not a DAY goes by w/o me wishing I'd given more hugs and less lip to my parents when I was a teenager. Or when I wish I'd been less mean to my dog, Buttercup, when I was in a bad mood about something.
Lorrea/Sue: See what I told Pat about violence and what I just told Kirsten about human nature.

My sympathies, Aymen. I miss my grandparents so much. They are such a wonderful part of our lives.

So sorry to here of you and your families loss.

I'm very sorry for your loss Aymen!!!! الله يرحمها !!
