Fakiha | 11 comments @kenia covered about all the iconic ones ever loll I'll add on tho with some more ya romance, a lot of these r quite underrated:
-my mechanical romance (academic rivals to lovers)
-not here to be liked (academic rivals to lovers)
-didn't see that coming (kinda friends to lovers)
-stars and smoke (spy+celebrity)
-the upside of falling (fake dating)
-xoxo (forbidden romance)

message 8: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer | 344 comments I like a bit of romance in my YA too.

Here are some I enjoyed:

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
Disruption by Jessica Shirvington

A couple of recent new ones are Immortal Mistake and Signal Erased by Adele Jones. The first one isn't really romance but it introduces you to one of the characters in the second one, which has more romance.

You could also try a couple of my books, like The Heir (Verindon #1) and The Verindon Alliance.

Growing up Hadley by Dana Harp

A heartbreaking story of resilience, friendship, and self-discovery.

Thirteen is a hard age. Even harder when you lose your mom to cancer. For Hadley, it means being left in the hands of an angry, alcoholic father who chips away at her self-worth until her anxiety is almost crippling.

Desperate for solace, an unexpected friendship blooms - a lifeline woven from patience, respect, and shared laughter. Suddenly, Hadley starts to smile again. Really, truly smile. That is until her father’s outlandish demands ruin everything.

As Hadley grows up, she faces a succumb to her father’s toxic hold or finally put herself first and dare to chase the dreams she once whispered to the stars.

This book will literally blow your mind off🥰🥰🥰.

Below is the synopsis:

Italian Business Mogul, Salvador Gorenili, finds himself at the center of the world of a large chauvinistic Indian family - where the men excessively abuse and exploit their women, through his marriage to one of their daughters.

He tries not to make it his business because they go to great lengths to pretend that all is well until he discovers that the life of his favorite sister-in-law is about to be irrevocably ruined. Resolving not to let his wife's infidelity nor his decision to divorce her interfere with his decision to help his favorite sister-in-law, he goes to see her the next morning after their big fight the night before and is met with the horrifying news of her demise; that she had burned herself to death because she could not handle the reality of their impending divorce.

Aggrieved and shaken to his core amidst the nagging suspicion that his wife had rather been murdered, Salvador falls prey to the emotional blackmail this family pins on him, but takes control of the situation and marries his favorite sister-in-law instead, to protect her.

Now five years later, his little Priya has blossomed into a stunning gorgeous woman and he struggles to keep his Intense attraction to her at bay. There are several reasons why he shouldn't want her, the least of all being that she is his late wife's sister and that she is too young for him, a fact that his brain understands, but his mind and body cannot comprehend.

Will Salvador be able to move past the sticky cobwebs of the past and make Priya his wife in truth? Will he be able to find out what had happened to his late wife? Would he be able to protect Priya from her horrible family? Will Priya be able to save the women in her family, now that she's back, refined and wealthy? Will they have their chance at a happy ending despite the trauma of the present and the horrors of the past?
