Yes I made an SS if we like it we can use it. to try and help fill spots.

If someone finished a spot before the first person, we can easily move it to another tab for another set, and also there is a page for other books we are reading that as best we can tell, does not fit a category or if we are unsure we want will get to it, etc.

You can read for any line you want and for any task you want. Lines and tasks do not need to be read in an order. You will get bonus points by completing a line. You can do a task multiple times.

A little update for the Amsterdam - task: there were some questions about the ditch on the cover, so I changed it into 'the letters D, I, T, C and H in the title/series name/author name''. Maybe that will be easier to complete.

I updated the SS with the new requirement for Amsterdam.

Just finished a book. Asking on main thread if I can use if for criteria though. *Fingers crossed*

almost finished with Gone, which I thought they got drunk in, but I misremembered, they just drink in the first then drunk is later in the series so I'll see if I can put it somewhere else

If not, we still get regular points if nothing else.

How is everyone else's month going? Any good books in progress or fun activities? I work at a school that starts back up on Monday so a lot of my energy is focused there right now.

doing a small road trip today to do some shopping, so reading some manga on the ride. have my family reunion next weekend and it's a drive too so will probably do the same then

Manga can be a fun break from novel reading as well. Change of pace for both the eyes and mind. Like you, I like them for the rides. I can read them easier than a novel in a moving vehicle.

If anyone is struggling with the New Delhi - task, then take a peek in the main thread of the challenge. I've posted some useful links there.

So I finished and they constantly mention how Mara can smell everything and sees the world differently than most people. Do you think that would count for New Delhi?

@Brooke I just scanned the reviews and saw you posted a review for New Delhi. It wasn’t on the spreadsheet so I thought it wasn’t taken. My book doesn’t fit anywhere else. Does yours? I’m so sorry!!

It doesn't really matter, we can do multiple of the same tasks, we just don't get the line points til the whole line is done. The SS might be harder to keep up on since some of these tasks are pretty 'hard' to get.

I just checked out our review page and it looks like we got points for both??… 😊

Correct. we get points no matter what and when we complete a section/line, we get more bonus pts.

I am hoping, but might not be able to get to Brinsingr so if someone wants to, feel free to nab that spot. My month is getting filled faster than expected and it is a long book. Fingers crossed I can still do it.

I'm trying to clear the first section, i have about a hour left of one book, then i'll try to get in the other book, depends on what i'm going after work, might have to mow the grass and i can't listen while doing it, and my yard is huge and i'm too poor for a riding mower so it takes like 3hrs with the push mower :( :( :( :(

We have a large yard (1/4 acre backyard) too so I feel your pain. We had a riding mower but it died a few years ago but we cant afford to replace it. yard takes forever, especially after rain season.

Idk if anyone else is having this problem, but i cant access my reviews on the books main page, nor the different editions.

But i am reading 3 big buddy reads right now, hoping to finishing all by Monday and probably some manga to just help points wise

Ok seems to be a site wide problem as the goodreads librarian groups is also reporting the same issue

talking to myself, aha, but you can look at other editions, just need to click "fewer details" then reclick the "book details" and they're there. think someone mess up the lines of code

the problem of you can't see anything under "my review", i can just go to my shelf and click "view" on the far right and find it there.

About the GR glitch of the page count:
if you click Fewer Details then Book Details & Editions you can see access all editions so you can find the page count.

Gotta love when the site glitches out. Just finished the first week of back to school, now to get some reading in.

reading is fundamental, ha, I didn't register that some say "word" in title vs "all the letters" in the title. I think I was thrown off by how the DITCH one is witten (D, I, T, C, and H) vs how the other ones for "all the letters" were just written as the whole word (GRAFFITI)

WHOOPS, well going forward now I'll pay attention better and get more bonus points, oof.

Ok, got a good dent into my book and am hooked.

i had some very bad mental health days over the weekend, and took off work yesterday to try to help, i didn't get much done, only one lousy book but i'll try to get a good chunk this week, we're in second but it's a huge gap to first.

but i'll have line 7 done in 2 ish hours
