Okay so what is the one book you refuse to DNF but never want to pick up and read it, so you read like one chapter a month??

Sue me but l've been STRUGGLING with
ACOTAR so bad, and I mean seriously haven't been able to plunge into it. Kinda got stuck in the second (the fans favorite I think), part of me thinks it's because I'm not use to fantasy world building the whole cauldron thing sent my head in a circle like wtf is that.
Also The art of not giving a fuck, damn did I think I could read it easy but I read like 10 pages every 30 days

A Court this Cruel and Lovely - i’ve finished the first book which i almost DNFed if not for the fact that I already had the whole series and didn’t want it to go to waste ):

The writing is just not my cup of tea and everything just “worked out” for the FMC. So many plot holes, felt so bored most of the time, and I couldn’t handle the fact that the MMC was snarling every 5 minutes… also did not feel the romance too much, more so lust.

I did just finish the second book in the series which was much better and more interesting than the first, but I still do need to read a different book in between to kind of keep my interest up.

Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson

I bought the whole trilogy and I actually enjoyed the ending of it. But I STRUGGLED to finish it so I’m hesitant to start book 2.

I’m having a hard time with Circe by Madeline Miller. I’m at 50%, but I feel like the story is so winding and without a distinct plot. Maybe since it takes place over millennia? Anyone else struggle with the story? The writing is really beautiful though.

Books 7-9 of the Zodiac Academy series

7 was the first book in ZA that I read slow... it definitely picks up the pace afterward...

Mine was “the serpent and the wings of night”. Finally got it done but just took me forever because I could not bring myself to keep going!

Mine was definitely Powerless. I am still powering through chapters in-between other reads.

Don't come for me, but I'm stuck on page 50 of SJM's book 2 of Cresent City... Help me please!

oh god mine is The Coven by Harper L. Woods I enjoy when I do pick it up but it's picking up the problem.... it's either a reading slump or Christmas spirit

I know not everyone agrees, but I love this series. If you're on book 2, you know it took awhile to get hooked on book 1. Just keep going. It's worth it.

Beth, I know you're right... Ugh! I will hopefully be finishing up Zodiac Academy here in the next few weeks. Then, I will try to find the strength to carry on with Cresent City series.

House of Sky and Breath - CC2

I struggled to get through the first book only for the second book to start over and be BORING!! I’m 75 pages in and had to put it down. It’s haunting me from the shelf currently.

The world building is amazing but SO hard to keep up with. I feel like with all the detail SJM gave us, she could’ve given Hunt some personality.

The Mask Falling by Samantha Shannon. I tore through the first three of the series and once I started TMF it was like my eyes were dragging through cement. I don’t even do a chapter a month, I do half…maybe less 🤦🏻‍♂️

To me it’s blood and ash! I loved the first two books but book 3 is literally the hardest book to get through… anyone else ?

Tower of Dawn from the Throne of Glass Series by SJM. I finally finished it but I had to tandem read to get through it
