Hi everyone!!
I've almost finished with Queen of Shadows (TOG series) and i'm looking to buy the next book in the series. BUT, i've seen a few different opinions on how to read the next two books - Does anyone recommend tandem reading both The Tower of Dawn and Empire of Storms or is it better to keep them separate? Help!

I absolutely recommend the tandem. theres no way I could have managed TOD without something to break it up. I had no issues keeping up with the many POVs but if you're not someone who can switch between POVs easily then I dont recommend it.

Fab, thank you :) I just finished queen of shadows so i'm going to start the tandem read today!

I really enjoyed doing the tandem read - the books take place at the same time but are set in different locations so it gives the reader the opportunity to follow all the characters and is captivating to read! I found it really strengthened the plot and character development 🥰

Ahh i'm so glad to hear that! I have started the tandem read today and so far, so good - really excited to see where the story goes and I hope I can start to like Chaol again!!!

Totally recommend the tandem read. I did it. And it was the greatest decision of my life.

I recommend the tandem read because there is no way I would of enjoyed or stuck with Tower of Dawn (a whole book of Chaol no way..... sorry)

Haha! I started it yesterday and i'm already so glad I decided on the tandem read, i'm not Chaol's biggest fan and he is SO boring!!!

Little late to the party here but it appears I’m in the minority.. lol. I personally really preferred reading it by publication order. Call me crazy if you want but as infuriating as it was at first to get no answers to the cliffhanger in EOS, the character development in TOD was sooo worth it imo. I also was not a huge fan of Chaol until reading TOD. Personally, I think I would’ve missed a good chunk of the story in TOD if I had done the tandem read. That being said, some people would probably go absolutely insane reading another 800 pages with no answers so to each their own :)
