MissP.Reads | 5 comments I’m honestly more of a physical book girly but today I was gifted a $150 Apple Gift Card so I decided to purchase some audiobooks. I cannot believe that I spent the entire amount on 9 books. I really don’t know how to feel getting into this whole audiobook thing and I really want to cry because I wish they were physical books lol.

Any recommendations on audiobooks I should tune into ?

Charlene (chadee) | 38 comments I believe it. Audiobooks can be very expensive. I use Audible and wait until there is a sale to purchase books or I use my audible credits. Some listeners use Libby. Chirp is another audiobook provider who frequently runs sales. Apple is a last resort for me because they are way too expensive.

Shana (brownetime08) | 57 comments Yes, I definitely recommend Libby and Hoopla. All you need is a library card to get access to all those free books!

Kimberly Pfeifer | 9 comments Audible is pretty good as you can earn/purchase credits for additional books. The Silent Patient is excellent. Also, A Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose.

Nevaeh Codie_75 | 7 comments Physical and Audible and Kindle (use library card w/Kindle)

I love listening to audiobooks too. It’s a great way to get through a book quickly while working; however, sometimes, I miss things because I concentrate so hard while working that I am not really hearing the narrator.

Another thing I love about audio books is I can use my library card to checkout a book and use my audible credit to listen to the book. When I download the library book with my kindle app and download the audible I have full immersion reading which really brings me into the story and I find that I pay closer attention to details.

Happy Reading and Listening my friends. oxoxo

I completely agree with this response! I love having audio books at my fingers tips whenever I feel the needs to multitask or get through a read quicker. Also, if the narrator is good, it can help supplement with the actual physical reading experience!

Listen I barely use Apple Books or anything for reading but like you said, it's there as a last resort and it comes with my phone/software since I'm a Mac user. Audible is good but expensive I agree as well. I would only use the free monthly credits when I had a membership. Libby and Hoopla are great apps through the library to borrow digital books and I love it.
