Per firstshowing.net ~~ New US Trailer for Sequel 'Force of Nature: The Dry 2' with Eric Bana ~~
"I know what it's like out there. I know what happens when things turn bad." IFC Films has unveiled the official US trailer for the Australian mystery sequel titled Force of Nature: The Dry 2, arriving in the US to watch this May (in theaters & on VOD). This crime thriller is a follow-up to the hit film The Dry (2020) continuing the story with the same character. Both of these star Eric Bana as a Federal Agent named Aaron Falk; in the first film, he gets wrapped up in a murder mystery when he goes to his hometown. In this next one, five women participate in a hiking retreat but only four come out on the other side. Federal agents Falk and Cooper head into the Victorian mountains hoping to find her still alive. Bana co-stars with Anna Torv, Deborra-Lee Furness, Robin McLeavy, Sisi Stringer, Lucy Ansell, Richard Roxburgh, Jeremy Lindsay-Taylor,...

Trivia ~~
Goofs
An Australian character played by an Australian actor uses the word "cell phone", which is uniquely American, rather than "mobile (phone)"

Barbara | 13 comments I loved all Jane Harpers books and found out on this forum that Foce of Nature was made into a movie. I think all of her books would make great movies or streaming series - they are more of a slow burn but there's always a good payoff, and her characters are strong and well written.

♥ Sandi ❣ | 617 comments Well I backed up! I just watched The Dry (Aaron Falk, #1) movie. I read the book in May of 2017. I remembered bits and pieces going into the movie, but remembered more as the movie played on. I think I would give it a 5 out of 10 for a rating. Not that it was a bad movie, but I did not the person who played Falk. For me he just did not fit the picture. I would much rather have preferred someone like Jeremy Renner, Kit Harrington or even Matt Damon - but Eric Bana made up like he is, just isn't my picture of Aaron Falk.

I plan to watch Force of Nature: Dry 2 (which I read in Oct 2021) in the next few days and will report back once I do. (I will struggle thru Bana for a second film....blah! )

☮Karen | 78 comments Guess they wanted an Australian, Sandi. My husband really enjoys Bana. I could take him or leave him.
