Absolutely love the quiet tension between them and the banter that they have, Idris is always looking out for Aliza even to his own detriment but I’m not going to lie where’s Jacques … I miss him

Omg love all the twists that this has taken but the one with Jane was my favourite as she can no longer be used as a manipulation technique and I love that she also got her happily ever after and didn’t die alone after all her heartbreak

While my heart broke for Aliza the fact she went home and put herself at risk of dying to avoid Idris was taking it too far. I love that her powers manifested as fire feels like a full circle moment of her taking back control. Still cannot believe Anwir loves anyone except his reflection and it’s sage of all people

Oh I love this series Jacques is still my favourite character and I love that Aliza found a way for them to walk in the sun which was so typically human the side of her that she will not suppress. I love Idris and Aliza as a couple as they really compliment each other and with the battle I love that her degree finally got used … maybe not the way she thought but she was still helping. Anwir has some redeeming moments in this book with Sage and being able to see him as human but why would he ever do that on his quest for power l. I also love how they are bound to their word but a loophole that’s found is ingenious

(view spoiler)[ This is everything the first book was and more. Love the relationship between Aliza and Idris, and the character development. Anwir is such a snake. The humour throughout is so entertaining.
I really loved the reunion with Aliza's parents and that she made it home to see them again! (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

I loved seeing how much her parents adored her and just accepted it all with no questions and were always willing to help x

How cute was her dad going to buy the sunscreen!
Also absolutely howled at the bit where Idris comes to get her and her mum is fully supportive of the kidnap plan

(view spoiler)[ Wow. What an emotional rollercoaster. I cannot believe the ending. Anwir is a disgusting excuse for a Fae! Cannot believe what he did to Taryn. Aliza is so strong - I need the next book!
Its so sad that she didn't get a proper goodbye with Idris too. Also how rude of Malegywn to be bringing little Trish and John into this - absolutely no need. Jaques is such a sweetheart. He is so loyal and brave. Also loved the part where Aliza went to speak with the vampires - it really felt like things were moving in the right direction at that point.
