it's one of the only places in the school students can have fun, and they take full advantage of that.

Sebastian Valencia : 8th Year

The Cafeteria | 

Opening the door to the cafeteria, the buzz of energy hit him like a brick. Sebastian had awoken only 30 minutes ago from his hated slumber. Why do human's need to sleep to survive? He hated sleeping so much. Maybe because he feared being called while asleep.

Today Sebastian has chosen a more casual fit. One with some lighter colors that he somewhat hated. Sadly, he'd forgotten to do laundry so, here he was, wearing some lighter brown clothing. Eh, that's what I get. (view spoiler)[

Behind him, another 8th year was approaching. Just Andreaa. A smile crossed Sebastian's face as he held the door of the cafeteria open for her as she approached. When she reached him, he asked, "You hungry too, Angel?"

Andreaa slipped through the corridor, making sure to not make body contact with anybody. She had only woke up an hour ago, spending at least 20 minutes sitting up in bed comforting herself from the nightmare during her sleep. She curled her hands into fists, anger coursing though her veins as she remembered the fate that they were all compelled to, one night with the Sidhe.

But she was so much stronger now. If the Sidhe took her, they would have to face HER wrath. Or so she hoped.

She smiled thankfully as the door was opened for her, and noticed Sebastian. In an increasingly smaller pool of students from when they had first been enrolled at age 10, it was inevitable that all the 8th years knew each other fairly well, and each one was waiting for the day that was bound to come. Shared fate it seemed brought them all closer together.

So it wasn't a surprise when the smiling Sebastian attempted a flirtatious remark.

"Haven't eaten for 8 hours, of couse I am, Sebastian."

The Cafeteria | 

"Have't eaten for 8 hours, of course I am, Sebastian," she replied.

8 hours? Sheesh, I can't even sleep that long... As Andreaa stepped through the door, Sebastian followed after her, with one large but not uncomfortable step. Then he closed the door quietly behind him. He hated slamming doors, even though it showed signs of life, it usually meant someone was dying or dead after returning from their call. Something he hated to think about. Poor Carwyn...

"Why don't we get something for you to eat then sweetheart," he said flirtatiously placing light hand on the shoulder farther from him. Andreaa was an interesting girl, sometimes she liked his flirty nature sometimes she despised it. He couldn't tell her mood quite yet, so he continued. Though, he knew if she snapped, or asked him to stop, he would stop. The ladies' man is respectful enough to stop if he's asked.

Andreaa nearly didn’t expect the physical contact. Nearly. Though it shook her, she recomposed herself and smiled back, flicking her hair back. She knew that most of the girls had decided to keep their hair short, but her hair was her pride. Her parents had taught her as much when she went back to India as a child. She wasn’t a child anymore.


Shaking the memories off her, she led the way to the cakes, trying to think of a response.

“Are you planning to pay for me?”

she raised her eyebrows, picking up a lemon drizzle cake. She knew it was unhealthy, but did that really matter anymore? She only had a few months until she graduated. The day was bound to come soon, she could afford to treat herself a little.

The Cafeteria | 

Sebastian smiled, keeping his arm there, but making sure not to have too much of it touch her. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable.

"Of course I will," he said looking down at her with a sweet smile. It was a rare look. Mainly because he could actually focus. Can't say the same about 30 minutes ago... NO. Think positive. Do it for Carwyn. Do it for Daxon.

Andreaa's choice of cake looked delicious. However, in his mind, all he could could see was the calories. Sure, food was his life. But that much sugar scared him. I don't want to be getting fat in case I get called... It won't help me run... He didn't comment on Andreaa's choice. Instead, after she grabbed her cake, he led her to a salad bar where he grabbed a waldorf salad that was sitting pre-prepared, waiting to be taken.

He looked over at Andreaa, making sure she was happy with her selection and didn't want anything else.

She smiled as he chose his food, sitting down in front of him on the table. She wasn't sure if she was glad about the company, but on second thoughts, it was good she had someone distracting her.

But too much distraction wasn't good, especially as every day that went by was a ticking time bomb towards their fate.

Cutting a slice for her and Sebastian of the cake, she tried to make small talk, her brain still hazy from the morning fog and unable to bring herself to flirt.

"So, how have you been?"

After buying their food and sitting down, Andreaa finally spoke. She was often silent. Just like him. And most of the eighth years. We're all waiting our impending dooms...

He watched her bite the cake and wished he had one himself but reminded himself, calories. You don't need them, Sebastian. He couldn't risk putting on any fat or weight as he waited for his call.

"I've been alright," he said, which was a total lie. He had been the opposite of okay for a long time. He took a bite of the salad. The leaves a bit bitter but he dealt with it. At least it was healthy.

"How have you been?" he asked. Talk naturally. Just in case the littles are watching. Make sure you appear strong for them. Be their role model.
