Practice Discernment. -Discernment is a spiritual gift given by God through the indwelling Holy Spirit. Believers receive discernment by reading and meditating on the word of God and through the renewal of the mind. The Bible teaches believers to seek discernment in order to grow in wisdom, understanding, and knowledge of spiritual truth.
The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. -1 Corinthians 2:14 I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. -Philippians 1:9 Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong. -Hebrews 5:14 Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit.
