Tami (tamicarvallo) | 6987 comments I have a question about books that were originally published by two authors but later republished by only one, with only that author's name on the cover.

Should these editions be combined, given that the content is essentially the same or sometimes identical?

If yes, how should we handle the primary author situation? For example:

The book was first published by Lila Ashford and Dominic Sterling (fake names), with Lila listed first on the cover. Later, it was republished with only Dominic's name. How should we manage this? Should Lila be moved to the secondary author position?

If the content is the same they should be combined. All editions of a work should have the same primary author, and that should be as first published.
