We're always happy to help. This is a good one to start off with because we have all the tasks available from the start. We're trying to complete as many full sections as we can over the month, each of the seven sections we complete get us 5 bonus points.

Just checking-in and bringing this to our attention from this challenge's rules:

Once a team has completed all the tasks for a part, they will get 5 bonus points. If a team completes all the tasks for this challenge, they will get 10 bonus points. After completing everything, the team can then start the challenge all over again.


That said, Here are the remaining tasks we have to complete the first part:

Part 1:
6. Read a book from the Country Books list
8. Tagged 'Halloween'
13. Dog on cover
21. 'Sand' and 'Worms' in text (pg/% & quote)
22. Set in the Desert

I’ve got dog on the cover. But that’s probably about it from that list

Actually could possibly squeeze a Halloween cozy mystery in

I've already claimed tagged Halloween and it will also get us the bonus points since it's also set in Connecticut

I'm sure I could also find a book on the Country Books list if no one else wants it.

I'm going to sit down and update all my buddy read threads and reviews this weekend and add my books in where they fit and then I will look at what's on my tbr that fits the prompts we need to complete categories.

hey team I threw a book on for #74, the "book for morbid kids" list. I won't start it til next week so if someone else wants to take that slot, please feel free to :) not trying to book block anyone hehe

I unfortunately have some ARCs to get through and other committed books so I cannot fit something in time.

If need be on the last day I can reread Assassin and the Desert, it just fits at 103 pages.

back on here for a while to update that i’m just left with 7 papers! my back-to-back papers will end on the 30 oct, so after that you’ll see me try to read as much as possible to help outttt :)

also, i’ve put a book down for the gothic book covers task, but i’ll only be able to read it on 30 oct, so if anyone wants to take that slot, feel free!

hmmm, are we allowed to change the tasks we’ve set our books on?
if yes, i was thinking that maybe we can take the books for the parts that we don’t have, and see if we can rearrange them somehow so that we’re able to fit them in other parts and complete those, instead of scattering them around

Yes, we can move books if they fit other tasks.

For Part One all we need is desert which I will do on Halloween if it's still unclaimed. Same thing with Part Two but Esther has the Gothy Book Covers
For Part Three all we need is 53.Clock/Timekeeper on cover

I am not able to rearrange the books now, and honestly let's be very mindful as we don't want to exhaust Alaina.
But that is a great plan!

I am reading a book where, on the cover, the character wears a watch.
Do you think that would work for 53.Clock/Timekeeper on cover ?

If we move books that's already been reviewed, will they have to be reposted in the review thread?

I don't think so, last time we just replied to the message and changed what task on both review thread an spreadsheet

what task were you banking Kim? maybe I can use Finisher for it (sorry can't open the spreadsheet now)
