Do we want to think through a strategy as well? Like should everyone keep their books in the banked section until we see two that can go together? I feel like just posting for whatever will get hectic pretty quickly

Which task are we reading for the week 1 theme?

I think we said the cake list? But I don't have time to pick up a cake book, so hopefully other folks can sort that out

I moved some stuff from banked to the signature bake and contestant slots. The judges/host categories this time seem pretty tough actually, we don't have much in banked for that

I can post The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires to complete Isabel’s Paul Hollywood so we’ll have a judge for this week. I’ll do it in the morning unless anyone else has a book for it

Stormie, you had a book for a constestant in the theme category, so I moved it to the banked tab

Also I'll have one done by the end of the week for POC author, if anyone has one published in February then we'll have a host completed

From the example in the Check In thread, it looks like we need another contestant, signature bake and showstopper bake, and the theme. I think we just need one more person for the theme. Is anyone able to read a book from the Cake list?

We need another contestant, signature bake and showstopper bake. There are a few books in the banked tab, so we can use them if you find a book that would match the prompts they work for

I’m reading Cold Hearted so we can use Hummingbird Cake for the signature bake.

I think we only need to do one judge or one host per week.

I am still lost. I am not sure how we are choosing what tasks to read. I guess we are not supposed to post on the spreadsheet. I thought I had posted something and now it is gone. It's okay, I just want to do my share of the reading. Please help guide me as to what I am to choose from so that I can participate. Thanks. I am sorry for getting confused. I have a lot of library books that I am trying to finish...I lost a lot of reading time in June and July due to moving, and now I am playing catch up, so I am sure to have a book that fits a task. :)

Sorry, everyone! I thought we needed two contestants but we're only required to do one.

Do we want to post just one contestant this week and use the other next week to make sure that it will be completed? Or do we want to post both this week?

No worries :) I think we're all just reading books then entering them in the banked tab of the spreadsheet and listing all the prompts that the book could work for. Then, when it gets closer to the end of the week, it's about pairing the books up and reading books that will fill in any gaps in the requirements (three books fitting the chosen theme of that week, one judge/host, one contestant, one signature bake and one showstopper bake). The books are then posted in the review thread.

Hopefully that made sense :)
