julia (juliiareads) | 126 comments here some questions to help you start the discussion

1. which of the four Hawthorne brothers is your favourite?

2. which twist most shocked you? why do you think it took you by surprise?

3. was Emily a bad person?

4. favourite/least favourite characters?

5. will you read the net book? any predictions/theories?

6. what would have you done if you were just handed a fortune by an unknown man?

7. were you able to solve any mystery before the end?

and my favourite question:

Much of what we learn about Avery’s current circumstances is influenced by information slowly revealed about both her past and that of the Hawthorne family. How does the past influence the present? Do our past mistakes define us?

Deja Miller | 1 comments *SPOILERS* I read it a few months ago! Nash is definitely my favorite Hawthorne, he’s super laid back and I loved seeing his relationship with Libby even from Avery’s POV.

I truly loved this book! I devoured it so fast it actually shocked me! I think the Hawthorne family all need therapy for one and maybe they’d all get along much better lol. Grayson is probably my favorite Hawthorne brother because I love a good enemies to lovers arc, which is where I think it’s headed between Avery and him. I do think Emily was not a great person, or at least she was a morally grey person. She was playing those two brothers so bad and I genuinely feel bad for how much trauma they now carry because of her. I’m really excited to see more of her sister in the next book because I think her story isn’t finished. Can’t wait to read more about this family!

julia (juliiareads) | 126 comments haha! why i feel like most books would resolve in 4 chapters if characters had a great psychologist 😅
