Welcome to the The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches Buddy Read Discussion thread! This thread officially opens on October 23rd and anyone can join at any time. Please keep in mind that spoilers are allowed in this thread but only up to the group's current reading place. Do not spoil the book if you've read further than the group. Any extra days can be used to catch up!

Sorry I haven’t been active in buddy discussions lately. I have been reading this book and am only a day behind at this point.
I have been enjoying reading this book. This is my fourth witch book this month and each has had a different twist on magic and witchery. I like the dynamic of the witch children, as well as that of the rest of the “family”. I find how Mika learned magic herself to be a bit of a plot hole at this point. But I’m really eager to see if Lillian ever shows up; she seems a rather confusing and distant character that influences all of the adult residents at Nowhere House. Jamie’s been running hot and cold for me and it will be interesting to see what will precipitate in his upcoming visit.

That’s so exciting! I finished on Monday- and I keep forgetting to update! I’ll post an actual review when I’m not on my phone but l overall I very much enjoyed it! I also agree with you about the different perspectives on witchiness. This book I felt was unique/more wholesome than some of the others I’ve read so far! Very much Practical Magic (the movie) vibes ^^
