Maximillian Schell

Just might be the one actor I'd most feel comfortable with if I'd ever found him eating at a table next to me

Oh yerr. But, they needed someone like James Mason and Max probably enjoyed the big fat paycheck.

Spencer Rich | 1142 comments The cast almost borders on Strangelove. Tony Perkins. Ernest Borgnine. Slim Pickens. Roddy McDowell....etc.

I'm a sucker for weird Disney. TRON. Bedknobs and Broomsticks. That Darn Cat. Return to Oz.

Laura | 587 comments I recently tried to rewatch TRON, as an adult. I had seen it when I was REALLY little, because DISNEY MOVIE, so of course my mom was going to take me. I fell asleep and didn't understand any of it.

Well, I tried again last weekend.....understood more, but still fell asleep. HA and still didn't get it very well (and was watching it with a person who works in the semiconductor industry who ALSO was having a hard time and fell asleep.) HA.

Anyway. What's cool about Schell in that one interview is that he clearly harbors a genuine interest in Beethoven and is listening with relish and sincerity to what Bernstein has to teach him. Its not often one sees an actor willing to learn anything new. They're like architects. Ego usually underfoot.
