mayareads (mayareads_) | 3 comments So did I, but since the movie came out a friend of mine has been comparing it to the movie and it's making me want to read it

Christy | 9 comments Well, the story itself is good and covers an important subject. The author though is pretty problematic and the ending of the book also. The writing is mid.
I would say go for it since it's pretty popular, don't expect too much!

I know what the books is about. I've heard so much about the author, and her writing...that made me not want to read them or get her books. But my mom had the duo set and with the movie out, I wanted to compare them.

Christy | 9 comments Then I would just say that you try it out and see if you like it. I mean, the books are short. I haven't seen the movie yet, so I can't say anything about it.

marina p.s | 2 comments I toootally recomend it to anyone who has never read any book which includes sexual abuse or violance towards women.
Also, I really recomend reading it in english for anyone whose first language isn't english (only if you have between a B2-C1 level), becauseit it is a light book with a non-complex use of language. However, this can also be a throwback for other people and I totally understand.

On the other hand, I do not recommend reading It Starts With Us, if you wanna know why you can ask me.
