In 2024, I read in order... and it was fine. I haven't quite decided if I'm going to read in any sort of order, or if I'm just going to wing it. We will see how I feel when January hits.

2024: Read in list order
2023: Read however I want (and had a baby!)
2022: Read in list order
2021: Read however I want, completed the challenge twice
2020: Pulled prompts from a jar randomly and read in that order
2019: Read in list order
2018: Read however I want
2017: First attempt, just get it done!

Liz | 516 comments What is your Novel Bunch Book Club? I love the idea of a book club with a different genre assigned to each month.

Emily Bourque (emilyardoin) | 11189 comments Mod
I started an IRL book club in 2013 with some of my friends, and it's evolved over time to focus on one genre each month! We do a poll to find which genres we are interested in reading, then I assign each month a genre (with some repeats, for the popular genres), and then each member votes on which month they want to pick a book for. It's created a lot more diversity in our book picks, rather than when we were just picking a random book each month.
