Theodore has been labelled as a kleptomaniac, an irresponsible and reckless child or other choice words more than he can count. Were they wrong? Not entirely.
Living life moving every few months with no real place to call home was the norm for Teddy and his mom. She was a travel nurse and as much as she loved her son she wasn't keen on giving up her travels for him.
This allowed Teddy the freedom of doing really whatever he wanted because they would be moving and a few months and he'd never see these people again anyway. At home he was responsible, cooking and cleaning and making up for the shortcomings of his absent-minded mother.
So when his mother sat him down at 11 and told him he was going to camp for the summer, he was thrilled. He didn't have to worry about household chores for three whole months!
And camp became his home, it was the place he missed when he felt down. So when he was fourteen he asked his mom if he could stay there year round. He would visit for all the holidays but that may she wouldn't have to worry about him.
And so the decision was made and Teddy hasn't regretted it one bit.

Kamaya's mother left her and her step-father (Who she considers her father) when she was only three months old. Sebatian, her father, was young and wasn't sure if he was ready to be a father. He had only been seeing Kamaya's mother for two months at that point. But he decided to try and be a good father to this child and raised her as his own.
Kamaya had a wonderful childhood and grew up loving her father. When she was 12 he sat her down to explain they were not blood-related and that her mother claimed she had her with a God. Kamaya didn't care and said that he was her family and no one else. She grew up doing tons of survival activities and going to a private school that helped her with her educational struggles.
Eventually, a satyr showed up and confirmed her ancestry of a demi-god and her father decided it was safer if she trained at camp half-blood. Kamaya regularly visits her father and counts down the months before she can go back to Boston for university and live close to him.

While she has a tough exterior she is a teddy bear somewhere deep in her cold heart. If you wear her down her insulting and dismissive tone can turn to one of fierce compassion. she is an introvert and prefers to be a lone wolf type but once she finds a friend who can see past her shortcoming she will never let go of them.
Fatal flaw: Ambition. She doesn’t realize when something is enough, she will train herself to death if the people around her don't stop her. She wants to achieve her goals at any cost.

Micheal Knight is her father, he is a movie star. He married Rachel Knight who was his high school sweetheart. They had their twins in their early twenties and the years after the birth of their girls were rough. Sela was born out of infidelity on her dad's side during that rough patch.
Once Sela was born her mother gave her father an ultimatum. She would raise Sela as her own if he worked on the marriage (went to counselling and therapy) and never cheated again or she would take the twins and leave him.
Sela is seen as a miracle in her family because it got her parents to fix their marriage which is now stronger than ever. Her mother, Rachel, feels like her biological mother most of the time.
Her parents are very down-to-earth people and hard workers. But growing up in the spotlight Sela learned some abnormal habits such as manipulating others. At the age of 12 her parents realized it’d be best if she went to camp half-blood. She was attracting monsters and this way she didn’t have to live in the spotlight all year long.

History:
Ezra's dad wasn't exactly expecting to become a father at the ripe old age of twenty-two. Fresh out of university and living in a one-bedroom apartment wasn't the ideal time to start a family. But he was so dedicated to becoming a great father to this child that he found in his apartment with a note from his lab partner from a year ago. Even though he struggled to make ends meet for the first few years of Ezra's life, it was a wonderful childhood.
And when Ezra was 4 his father married his now step-mother McKenna.
Ezra was dotted on by both of them and because of his introverted personality, he acted as their shadow for most of his life. That was until Sela came along. Then Ezra became his little sister's shadow. He has been obsessed with his sister and making sure she is constantly happy.
Once he got to highschool he started seeing weird monsters and he only realized what a problem they were when one day his sister mentioned seeing one of them as they walked along a pier. When he realized it wasn't all in his head he realized he should tell his parents.
His parents thought it might have been a game of pretending he was upholding for his sister's sake. They only believed him when a monster attacked him during their camping trip.
Since then Ezra has been super careful not to run into more monsters. It wasn't until last year that a Satyr showed up at his school and claimed that he was a demigod, and Ezra realized he wasn't completely human.
His parents urged him to move to camp but promised to visit him often.
