I enjoyed that one, Amanda - mystery is my favorite genre, Christie my favorite author, and I can reread her and still appreciate the red herrings and plot twists!

Oh, I’m glad you enjoyed it - I’d had my old used hardcover collecting dust on the shelf, but wanted to finally read it, figured putting it in the pool would be the nudge I needed. It’s always a pleasure to finally read a book you've been meaning to read for ages, but even more so when book-loving friends enjoy it as well! ;o)
#5, book 16, High Wages by Dorothy Whipple.Like Cphe, this was my first read by Whipple - a delightful, satisfying 5-stars; I loved Jane as a heroine, her struggles, successes, first brushes with love - it was a great old-fashioned coming-of-age story.
