Natalie Merrill | 9 comments I loved the Folk of Air Series (The Cruel Prince). I will say the romance is more of a subplot, but it's a great fantasy!

TheReader_Wannabe | 8 comments I loved "the cursed of saints #1". There is a lot of fantasy background, but there is still a good romance part!

I recently read Carmilla by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu- it's a vampire classic that predates Dracula by 25 years. The version I read is edited by Carmen Maria Machado. Quick read, interesting history, and a fun book!
I wouldn't necessarily call it dark romance, but who doesn't love a WLW vampire book lol

charleighreads | 4 comments Try Daughter Of The Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan. It's not Romantasy in the open-door way that ACOTAR and the like are... but it's YA Fantasy Romance with an enemies to lovers trope and is a loose retelling of Chinese folklore. These books helped me through a lonely, difficult time and had me SOBBING.

Andi🖤✨ | 3 comments When the Moon Hatched has everything, amazing fantasy world, a twist on enemies to lovers, battles, dragons. It’s a huge book, a little overwhelming but once you start it pulls you right in. I can’t wait for book 2!
