harlie brown (hhharlieb) | 93 comments my recommendation to getting out of a slump is to first reread an all time favorite, or maybe a couple favorites. then move on to a light-hearted book you haven't read before (romance if you like it), then maybe move into a more thriller or mystery genre! then if you feel like you're ready, read whatever you want or move into a fantasy series that's more YA and less political. if you want any recs for any of these, let me know!

I love the Unwind series by Neal Shusterman.

Erica | 175 comments Rereads are my go to, especially books I own because they have no deadlines to finish. That said if you’re in a slump it might be a mental health thing so be kind to yourself and don’t put pressure to read. Watch movies maybe or do other things you love to do.

~Betty June~ | 57 comments Once Upon A Broken Heart book and its sequels is probably the only book that has actually got me out of a slump. Def recommend!

Kara | 1 comments I just got out of a reading slump from "The Toll." It's a part of the scythe series that I loved except the last book. It just didn't interest me as much as the first two. Anyway, I spent 3 months on that book and finally finished it a week ago just to start. Shatter me. I've heard great things, and so far, I can't recommend enough as a jump back into reading as it totally helped me get out of my slump! Hope this helped ;)

WILL U READ (willuread) | 25 comments I love books written by Ruta Sepetys, her new one was especially amazing! I honestly love James Ponti, Stuart Gibbs (especially Spy School and Moonbase Alpha series). Also anything by Rick Riordan (Daughter of The Deep or any of the Tres Navarre series). Charles Soule is an AMAZING writer, I would recommend Star Wars but I don’t always recommend the franchise because yeah… Also Andy Weir’s books ARE to die for or John Green. He’s writing a new book about tuberculosis or Neal Shusterman with the Scythe plus Gleanings series PLUS a prequel TO Scythe coming next year! Also I AM a fan of Timothy Zahn… Carve the Mark duology by Veronica Roth… RF Kuang with Babel and Yellowface. We are here to HELP! With kind regards,
Will U Read!
