Jason Oliver | 3048 comments I absolutely loved Got Your Number: The Greatest Sports Legends and the Numbers They Own, a list of which athlete owns each number 1-100. I did not enjoy this book as much.

This is 100 sport debates, normally a list of 10, such as 10 best Superbowl QB performances. This book covers MLB, NFL, NBA, NCAA sports, NHL, boxing and more.

The questions though, are formed in a way that take out the argument. The questions aren't broad like, who is the greatest running back ever. I don't think there is room for much argument. Maybe a little discussion about the order of the list or a "what about this player or team? They should make the top 10" but there isn't much that is provocative or shocking in the book. Many of the questions weren't exciting.

I did enjoy the trivia questions for each discussion. Those were enjoyable. I also enjoyed being reminded of players or plays, or games and even looking up moments or athletes on YouTube that I wasn't familiar with.

It's an enjoyable book for sports fans, but it's not "as advertised"
