Yes he's very swoony! I'm madly in love with him. Verity's love interest is very swoony too! Both series occur simultaneously. Read A Ghastly Spectacle, then A Lark’s Tale, back to Bea and then Verity, repeat.

Hoping to hear from Steven (I just messaged him), if I haven't heard anything by Friday I will pick a couple of series (sorry to have dropped the ball, I ended up hospitalised again - this time with my 6th bout of Covid!! Third this year and it is only April :( ).

Thank you! Apparently I am not entitled to the Covid Vaccine until Autumn (shrugs at the idiocy of it all!)

Thank you Zermeena - again I hope someone that hasn't picked a month yet will step up, but knowing you and Becky are there as back up is wonderful!

Okay not heard from Steven sadly, so I am quickly picking a couple of series - The Vampire Tea Room (Spelling the Tea by Erin Johnson
) and The Great Witches Baking Show (The Great Witches Baking Show by Nancy Warren
).

Both series are a lot of fun. Good choices

Getting a bit annoyed, I have set up the thread for The Great Witches Baking show FOUR times, each time it has been up for between a minute and half an hour and then POOF!
Make that 5 times!!
Waited 20 mins, tried again - it stayed up for 2 mins and poof.

I've had that problem too and eventually gave up. I do think your problem was paranormal LOL! I'll recommend the books to a friend if she can get them. I'm not into the witchy cozies but my friend would love the baking show + witches concept.
I had trouble posting comments earlier today too, so it may have been the GR gremlins acting up yet again.
I was able to post the series yesterday and it's still there today. GR seems to have fixed the problem.
Hilary - Thanks for the extra effort it took for you to set this up. Sorry to hear about that your ordeal with COVID continues. Take good care. I hope you feel better soon.

Theme is clothing/fashion & I haven't seen this series on the featured list
The Good Buy Girls Mystery series by Josie Belle. Book 1 in the series is called 50% Off Murder
For my other pick, we haven't done the Aunt Dimity series by Nancy Atherton since April of 2013 so I would like to pick that series for my 2nd pick.

aww we miss Aunt Dimity at my real life book club and are eagerly awaiting the next volume in the series. I love almost everything Jenn McKinlay writes so I'm willing to try the Good Buy Girls mysteries while I wait for her to hurry up and write more cupcake mysteries and library mysteries!

I didn't know that she was still writing the Aunt Dimity books. There's a lot of books in that series & I'm trying to catch up lol & I agree- I love Jenn's books & I didn't realize until I chose this series that it was her under a pin name.

Nancy Atherton experienced serious mental health issues but she says on her website, she's writing another which is supposed to be published this year

Becky - Aunt Dimity was the featured series in October 2024 and April '13. That makes this series too recent to repeat. Will you please pick another series?
Thanks
Nell
Thanks
Nell
Sorry, Becky. I apparently missed that the group did Aunt Dimity so recently, and nobody caught my error. It doesn't do you much good now, but I just updated it.

Great series! Just had to share that earthshaking news.
I don't make decisions here, tho. 😂 And that's more than fine.
Becky wrote: "How about the Cleo Coyle Coffeehouse series?"
I've been meaning to get back to that series. Great choice!

Thank you :D, I will put the threads up tomorrow.
Thank you :D, I will put the threads up tomorrow.

I know some people already know, but I am not sure who. hence this post
Unfortunately Laura, (my wife and the heart and soul of Verity Bright) was killed in a car accident a few weeks ago. I have only just come out of hospital a few days ago myself.
Laura always wanted to write and thanks in part to everyone's support, her dream came true. Thank you so much.
There are still several books Laura wrote that have yet to be published, so I shall keep myself busy making sure her last books are out out there. I know she'd have loved that
Best Mark

I chose that one in May 2022 but it sounds like the rules say you can choose it again.

That's right. The Lady Eleanor Swift series was featured 3 years ago and the authors have published several books since it was last featured.

For theme pick (Book in a foreign country) I will choose the series
A Scottish Shire Mystery by Traci Hall. I read book 1 and liked it a lot
For Reader's choice I will choose A Tea by the Sea Series by Vicki Delany Again I have read book 1 and it was very good.
Barb outstanding job on the list of series we have read. You made it easy for me to find new series.
FYI both have beautiful cover work and I love beautiful covers!!

It's fine to pick a series that was previously a featured read. The mods look for a period of 3 or more years since selection. And whether the author published more books in the series since the last time it was picked.
