I didn't have Darcy ever after on my list, since I pre-ordered that one.

How do you find the more obscure authors? I admit, I get most my finds from FB postings.

I have a few Amazon searches bookmarked (ordered on publication date) that finds them for me - they search on
"Austen Variation"
"Darcy Elizabeth" ('elizabeth darcy' is a bad term to search on btw)
"Darcy Bennet"
"Pride Prejudice Variation"
"Austen Retelling"
"Austen ReImagining"
"Austen Inspired" and some others that rarely turn up anything that the above doesn't.

I'm with you Sam when it comes to new authors. I have kissed a few too many literary frogs so to speak to read an untried author without a little encouragement of some sort.

Goodness no! Those were on my to get list (they aren't released yet) that is indiscriminate (regardless of the author/possible quality) and many are as Craftyhj says, not worth it. but I have KU so it costs me nothing (but the subscription) to check them out and then promptly return if they are a thumbs down. If I find a 2-3 goodish reads a months from all of KU that it's worth reading through (and I do), that will offset the cost of the subscription.
