This YA novel is a bit too sweet for my taste. That said, it’s quite decent, as it’s not just about finding love but also delves into childhood trauma and the journey of rediscovering oneself.

The characters aren’t perfect, which is a good thing and could have made them feel more relatable. However, they still came across as flat to me—each character’s role is set from the start and doesn’t evolve throughout the story.

One aspect of the book left me uneasy. The main heroine struggles to communicate with others because of the trauma she experienced as a child. Meanwhile, I find it hard to communicate too, and I don’t even have a dramatic backstory like hers. I’m not sure what to make of that, honestly, lol.
