If you like books with Hallmark movie vibes with hilarious and shippable but a wee bit more substance and excellent movie and literary references, this book is for you! And even if you don't like Hallmark movies, you still might enjoy this one, given that I usually despise those things and still really enjoyed this book (and besides, Luke Edgewood would agree with your dislike of the movies.)

What a fun start to the Christmas Chronicles series. A Father Christmas origin story. Annabelle has a lot of struggles but I love how Nicolai helped her and her sisters. Will he win her heart? Sweet story, perfect for Christmas time. A reminder that we can provide a Christmas miracle for others by serving and helping a family in need.

This manga condenses Jane Austen's beautiful story in a succinct manner, though some things were deleted that I would have liked to have seen. The art was lovely (for the most part ... Mr. Collins was weird to put it mildly), and sometimes the added drama made it fun! Other times it made me wince, however.
