What's a good Kennedy book? I read Ted Sorenen's biography and thought it was just awful. There was no critical reflection on any of Kennedy's actions, decisions, or scandals. From Ted's perspective, JFK's critics were wrong and he could do no bad.
I do not recommend this book, but would like to read something better.
I gave An Unfinished Life: John F. Kennedy, 1917-1963 3 out of 5 stars. I feel that events are presented with a balance of praise and criticism that is appropriate. It does go into some minute details in places, especially where Kennedy's medical struggles are concerned. It basically ends when JFK's life does with very little exploration of the assassination, so you will want to go elsewhere if that is a big interest.
