I make sure NOT to keep track of our team points, Kari. I donβt care where we are in the team standings. If I did, my competitive side would come out and fun would go right out the window! LOL Iβm okay with reading what you want. This is a year long challenge. Too difficult to read just for points for that long! π

Thank you, Geri π. I feel this way too.

Kari, I totally agree with Geri. This is supposed to be fun. Just read what interests you. That's what I've been doing.

Yes. I asked Ashley and there is a double dip box at the bottom of the SS that we check to get the double dip bonus for everyone who participates.
Also, just an FYI, even though the book works for 2 tasks, we can only use it for 1 task. We need to read another book for the second task. I was hoping we could enter it twice, but no. π

Yes. I asked Ashley and ..."
Oh shoot! Lol

Yes!
I'll give this a try.
I just read a vampire book by this author - and it was good!

Any female author?

Any female author?"
If I understood Ashley's response correctly, yes any female author. Here it is, what do you think?

Underrepresented groups in literature typically refer to authors whose voices and experiences have been historically marginalized or underrepresented in mainstream publishing. While the definition can vary, for this challenge these groups are considered underrepresented:
1. Racial and ethnic minorities (e.g., Black, Indigenous, Asian, Latino/Hispanic authors)
2. LGBTQIA+ authors
3. Authors with disabilities
4. Authors from religious minorities
5. Authors from developing countries or non-Western cultures

I asked Ashley again just to be sure π

I'm finishing one of my audios tomorrow. I hope to move to our shared book next.

I'm finishing on..."
I think this is the one but there could be more..

βοΈ Read a book that features food as an important part of the story or culture.
βοΈ Read a book about characters on a journey across cultures, borders, or identities.
βοΈ Read a translated book or one originally written in another language.
βοΈ Read a book that weaves in traditional folklore, myth, or storytelling styles.
βοΈ Read a book that includes festivals, dances, or cultural celebrations.
βοΈ Read a book by an author who was born in a country youβve never visited/lived in.
βοΈ Read a book where someone has to use their passport (or mentions one).
βοΈ Read a book that shows how people celebrate joy.
βοΈ Read a book with a character who is from a different ethnic background than you.

Does anyone have recommendations from books they read this month?
I thought Red Clay was a good historical fiction read.

Does anyone else want to read this one?
