Play Book Tag discussion

This story is a retelling of the Wizard of Oz from the point of view of Toto. I was so looking forward to reading this book and after having done so I was slightly disappointed. There were portions of the story where I could wander off and not miss a thing. Sad, but true. However, Toto's snarkiness was wonderful! It is great fun to relate to this little terrier and his view of the world. I would have liked some of the characters especially the original Lion, Scarecrow and Tin Man being more developed but they played sideline characters while new characters introduced for this story were more in the limelight. Overall, I enjoyed this book. It was just fun to view the story through Toto's eyes.
