Did we ever decide what list of books we needed to read for?
I didn't read Our Wives, but The Secret does have water on the cover too.
I didn't read Our Wives, but The Secret does have water on the cover too.

And then I chose random words from our plan for step 3, with things I think can actually be found in title/cover.
Here's the list (I've also put what I claimed)
Wall-Amanda
Water-Amanda
Computer
Field-Amanda
Sky
Wings
Smoke
Back (of body)-Amanda
Key
Door

And no matter how many times I check notifications this is the one thread I do not get any for

Or have i misunderstood everything

Or have i misunderstood everything"
No you're so right nd it has to be title. So everything I've claimed is wrong. People can choose their own words from the story lol
We have 5 items red for Step 1, 3 for Step 2 and 4 for Step 3. Think that is enough or do we want to try and add some more? We have a few claimed , but maybe we can go with whats done so we can move on?

Quest 1A
You did a great job of stealing the flour from the bank. There is only a teensy tiny little problem. You stole the decoy bag and it had a dye pack in it. As soon as you stepped outside the bank, the bag exploded and your team is now covered in colored flour. I imagine that might be hard to get out of bear fur…
The real bag of magical, endless flour that can cure world hunger is sitting in a hidden vault in the bank protected by a wizard. Will you concede the mission? Or will your team try the bank heist again?
Concede?

Im more of a 'tell me what to do and ill do it' person

Should we do the concede this time and see if its different once we get to a new quest? I like being given tasks and finding ones that work than making my own. And i'm not creative enough for writing the stories.

And yet another team just received 3 choices that all had tasks. You don't know what you will get. It all depends on the response.
You have conceded this quest.
Quest #2
After a night in a tavern, each member of the party wakes up in the body of another member with no memory of what happened. One party member's body is gone, however, their mind instead inside a sentient item... a bag of beans.
Are these magic beans? Maybe, maybe not; plant them and find out. Worst case scenario, you could eat them. Do you eat the beans? If they are magic beans, how do you use them? Can you get everyone back in their bodies?
If you eat the beans, spell out BEANS

If you think they are magic beans, start here
Plant the beans
Read a book with dirt on the cover
Read a book with all the letters of BEANS in the title
Read a book with water on the cover
Read a book with a sun on the cover
Step 2: Find a solution to the body problems listed above. Use book titles BUT please use filler words as needed to tell me your solution. Minimum of 4 books. (everyone will do step 2 no matter the choices above)
For those of you playing solo... you will play this as if you were a member of the party experiencing this issue. How would you solve this? You can play as any member the party, one that is in another body or the beans. But you must present a solution.

After a night in a tavern, each member of the party wakes up in the body of another member with no memory of what happened. One party member's body is gone, however, their mind instead resides inside a sentient item... a bag of beans.
And not just any beans—these were enchanted, unpredictable, and, unfortunately, eaten instead of planted. As the party gathers around the bag, it quivers slightly, and a muffled voice emerges. "Well," says Lisa, now trapped in the bag of beans, "at least I don’t have to worry about bad hair days."
Amanda, now inhabiting Jackie’s elven frame, stretches her unfamiliar fingers and sighs. "I guess we're living out a chapter of The Body Swap Chronicles. What do we do now?"
Jackie, currently in Janeylou’s tiny fairy form, flutters above the table. "There has to be a way to fix this. Maybe we need to find a wizard. Someone who specializes in transformations. Or, you know, a good manual like Unbinding the Soul: A Practical Guide."
Janeylou, now in Amanda’s human body, slings a bow over her shoulder with an ease that feels both foreign and oddly empowering. "I say we find the source of these beans. If we ate our way into this mess, maybe there’s a way to eat our way out." She pauses, then grins. "If this were The Curious Case of Cursed Cuisine, the answer would be hidden in some enchanted recipe."
Lisa’s voice, still from the bag, crackles with impatience. "Well, while you all brainstorm, I’d like to stop being a carry-on item, thank you very much. I feel like a Slow Horses over here—dragging along while the rest of you trot around."
Their quest begins with tracking down a rare elixir to undo the magical swap. According to a dusty tome Amanda discovers—aptly titled Beans, Bodies, and Bewitchments—they need three key ingredients:
A Tear of Reflection – Only obtained by facing a magical mirror that reveals the truest form of one's spirit. Each party member must confront their own self-image, even if it means seeing themselves in someone else’s skin. As Jackie remarks, "Sounds like a real Thorn in His Side, if you ask me."
Root of Reversal – Harvested from a plant that grows backward in time. Finding it involves solving a puzzle where every step must be completed in reverse. Rumors say the last adventurers who tried it left behind a journal titled The Distant Echo—their voices still whispering guidance to those who follow.
Essence of Identity – Distilled from a heartfelt confession. Each member must speak aloud the truth of who they are—no matter whose body they currently inhabit. "This is A Time to Rise" Amanda declares, trying to rally the group.
With their new skills mixing and clashing—like Lisa's rogue instincts tangled with Amanda's ranger tracking—the adventure becomes both a logistical challenge and a chaotic bonding experience. Each step brings them closer to restoring their bodies and freeing Lisa from her bean-bag prison. But the real magic might just be learning to understand each other—one swapped skill at a time.
As they press on, a cryptic note left behind by a previous victim warns: "Beware the The Girl Whose Luck Ran Out. She may hold the final clue—or the ultimate curse."

And because I used ChatGPT we can just add more book titles as we want. I picked ones I knew we were buddy reading so anyone who finishes can update.
Janeylou wrote: "You did all that using ChatGPT ???"
Yep. I entered the prompt and then the question. Then remembered I needed book titles and asked for a story.
It helps be be creative cause I'm not usually.

Quest 2A
Congratulations on getting everyone back into their own bodies but messing with magic is a risky business. Wild magic tends to spring back on itself and your team starts to have weird side effects and ailments. If things start to sprout from your bodies you are in big trouble. You may want to seek help. Do you accept your fate? Do you seek a healer? Do you seek an oracle? Do you quest for a cure?
Accept Fate:
F
A
T
E
Seek Healer:
Read a book with a Nurse
Read a book with a Doctor
Read a book where a character goes to a hospital
Read a book with all the letters of HEALER in the title/series
Seek an Oracle:
Read a book with a prophecy
Read a book with a wise character (your interpretation)
Read a book that starts with a letter in ORACLE
Read a book with an ORACLE
Quest for a cure: Create your own tasks & tell me your story

oh. there are 4 choices. and I think the story only applies of we look for cure, but chatgpt helps with that. it can even probably provide some tasks too.
So we could do this...
You choose to quest for a cure.
According to The Folly of Woven Fates, only a ritual known as the Verdant Severance can cleanse the lingering threads of wild magic. But it won’t be easy. The ritual must be prepared using symbolic tokens found through very specific types of stories.
Your tasks are:
Find a book where someone cries. You’ll need the emotional depth of a tear shed in sincerity.
Find a book with a character who sings or plays an instrument. Music unlocks the petals of magic still dormant in your blood.
Find a book where someone lies and gets caught. Only truth revealed can cleanse deceit that clings to your soul.
Find a book where someone gives something up for another. Sacrifice is the root of reversal.
Find a book that takes place mostly in dreams or includes a strange dream sequence. Magic lingers in liminal spaces—especially between sleep and waking.
(Bonus task) Find a book that made someone laugh out loud. If you can bring laughter to the surface, it may be the last step to severing the sproutling curse.
Collect your findings. The ritual begins under the next full moon.
