🌑 Quest 2I: The Heart’s Choice

You stand before the Heart of the Night Garden—a being no longer seed, root, or bloom, but something vast, conscious, and pulsing with impossible life. Its shape shifts as you look at it: sometimes a tree of obsidian glass, sometimes a towering shadow crowned in flowers of starlight, sometimes a reflection of yourself.

It knows you. It remembers your footsteps from the garden’s edge, your hands on the godseed, the wild magic you’ve already woven into its veins. Its voice is not a sound but a presence, brushing your thoughts like wind through leaves.

“You hold what I am in your hands. Will you bind me? Bargain with me? Or banish me?”

The air quivers. The garden’s roots twitch, paths curling inward like a closing fist. The choice will shape not only this realm, but every shadowed corner of the Weave.

🌿 Path 1: Bind the Heart
You will root the Heart of the Night Garden to your will—anchoring its power so it cannot spiral beyond control. But in binding it, you will be bound in return.
📚 Read a book with a binding spell, contract, or magical pact.
📚 Read a book featuring a guardian or warden.
📚 Read a book where two forces merge into one.
📚 Read a book with a cost for power.

🌌 Path 2: Bargain with the Heart
You will treat with the Heart as an equal—offering something it wants in exchange for what you need. The terms may haunt you for the rest of your lives.
📚 Read a book involving negotiation with a powerful entity.
📚 Read a book with an uneasy alliance.
📚 Read a book featuring a promise, vow, or sworn oath.
📚 Read a book with unforeseen consequences.

🔥 Path 3: Banish the Heart
You will sever the Heart from the Night Garden, casting it into the void before its influence can spread. But the void does not give up what it takes.
📚 Read a book with an exile, banishment, or expulsion.
📚 Read a book with a final battle or decisive end.
📚 Read a book featuring the destruction of a magical place or artifact.
📚 Read a book with sacrifice at its core.

Once you choose your path and complete its tasks, the fate of the Night Garden will be sealed.

I'd say Path 2 Bargain.

Ideas:
📚 Read a book involving negotiation with a powerful entity
someone bargains with a demon or fae
character has to cut a deal with someone holding all the cards (crime boss, CEO, king, mob leader, even a manipulative family member).
character makes a compromise that changes them forever.

📚 Read a book with an uneasy alliance
Enemies to Lovers
Coworkers forced to work with each other

📚 Read a book featuring a promise, vow, or sworn oath
Knights, magical contracts, Wedding Vows, Oaths

📚 Read a book with unforeseen consequences
A spell, wish, or deal that backfires.
meddling family members
Miscommunication

Declan offers Blake a humiliating, degrading deal he has no choice but to take even though it's all kinds of wrong.

🌑 Result of Quest 2I: Bargain with the Heart

The Heart shudders as you speak your terms. Its shifting form ripples, reflecting each of you in turn. Your shadows flicker, your voices echo twice—once in your throats, once in the roots of the garden itself.

"We agree," the Heart says, though no words pass its lips. Vines curl gently around your arms and legs—not to bind, but to mark. Each of you now bears a faint sigil somewhere on your body, a blossom-shaped scar that pulses with dim light when magic bends near.

But bargains have weight. For what you gained, the Heart claimed something in return:

⭐A memory you treasured is now hazy, as though borrowed by the Heart.
⭐When you close your eyes, sometimes you see not dreams, but glimpses of the Garden itself—watching through your senses.
⭐And whenever you cast shadowed magic, the power now feels shared, like the Heart is lending you its strength… or testing your worth.

✨ Outcome:

⭐The Night Garden still stands, reshaped but alive.
⭐The godseed is no longer an object — it is a covenant, and you are its bargainers.
⭐The Weave quivers. Some see your choice as preservation. Others call it corruption.

🌑 Quest 2J: The Blooming War

The bargain is sealed. The Heart of the Night Garden beats within the Weave, its whispers echoing in your blood. But your choice has not gone unnoticed. Cults, gods, and dreamwalkers stir. The world looks to you — some in awe, others in fear.

Now you must decide how to face what comes next.

🌿 Path 1: The Bargainers’ Burden

“You made a pact. Prove it was not folly.”

The Harpers call you corrupted. Druids mark you as traitors. Fey-walkers hiss that the Fold was never meant for mortals. If you are to carry the Heart, you must defend it — and prove that your stewardship preserves, not destroys.

📚 Tasks:

⭐Read a book with guardians or defenders of a sacred place.
⭐Read a book with betrayal from within a group or circle.
⭐Read a book where two sides clash over what is “true” or “right.”
⭐Read a book ending in sacrifice for a greater cause.

🌟 Outcome: If successful, the world begins to see you not as thieves, but as Bargainers — guardians of a covenant few would dare attempt.

🐍 Path 2: The Serpent’s Claim

“The Heart is ours. You stole what belongs to us.”

The Serpent Brotherhood rises, claiming the godseed was their prophecy to fulfill. They move to invade the Night Garden, weaving shadow-rituals to pry the Heart from your bargain. To face them, you must understand their faith — and confront their fury.

📚 Tasks:

⭐Read a book featuring a cult or secret brotherhood.
⭐Read a book with a battle over a powerful artifact.
⭐Read a book where lies, oaths, or manipulation drive the story.
⭐Read a book ending with a shift in who holds power.

🌟 Outcome: If successful, the Brotherhood is repelled — but your bargain is branded in their eyes as a theft that must one day be avenged.

🌌 Path 3: The Heart’s Whisper

“You are mine now. Prove your worth.”

The Heart itself tests you. Dreams pull you back into the Garden, where its form shifts into fragments of yourselves. It offers power, knowledge, and visions of what could be. But every gift demands something in return.

📚 Tasks:

⭐Read a book where a character is tested by a god or powerful being.
⭐Read a book where illusions or dreams blur reality.
⭐Read a book with a difficult moral temptation.
⭐Read a book where magic reshapes identity.

🌟 Outcome: If successful, the Heart acknowledges you as true Bargainers, deepening your bond — but its roots will be harder to escape if you ever regret the pact.

⚔️ Choose your path, Readers of the Lost Arc. Will you defend your bargain against the world, fight off the Serpent’s claim, or prove yourselves worthy to the Heart itself?

I'm thinking, based on the Precis, that How to Flirt with a Hellhound will work for Moral Temptation.....So I'm going to take that one.
