evlove | 89 comments Since we’re approaching Christmas, let’s all pretend we’re going to a warm, sunny desert island. What book would you guys take? You can only pick one!

evlove | 89 comments I apologize for the terrible question. I think I’d probably take Duma Key by Stephen King. Theres a lot of quotes and lessons in there that I apply to my life

Damien | 9 comments I think I would have to take a book that I read a long time ago, found it to be excellent, and know I will enjoy rereading it. So, The World According to Garp.

Gloria Makepeace | 1 comments omg. this question is super hard. I'm not a big re-reader of books. but I'd have to say the bible on this one. otherwise the largest book I could find that's thriller or horror???

The Roads Chosen by Ben Carlyle

The story gives hope. A hope for the most unfortunate.

Gabby Zabek | 1 comments The complete works of William Shakespeare. I can’t live without The Bard. I am obsessed and have been since I was 14 and saw the Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh Much Ado About Nothing movie.

Erica Robbin (ericarobbin) | 82 comments I would bring my Bible.

But also I should mention, there is this book that John Green, the author recommended years back called An Island to Oneself by Tom Neale, published in 1966.

"Tom Neale (1902-1977) was a New Zealander bushcraft and survival enthusiast who spent much of his life in the Cook Islands and 16 years in three sessions living alone on the island of Anchorage in the Suwarrow atoll, which was the basis of this autobiography."

And I've wanted to read it for the longest time, but it is not a book that I have been able to get, but sounds so intriguing. I saw it on Amazon once, for $100+, and there is no way I will pay that much for this book

But my Bible and reading this Island book while being on an island, alone and isolated would very intriguing to read.
