I've finished the two books I had ear marked for this challenge, is there anything else we need covered for the story part of this quest?

I updated the Bartender wording. LMK if that works or not. There is also a book I recently read called Cocktails & Chloroform if that works better

Sorry for being a bit MIA, my computer crapped out and had to wait for the replacement to arrive. Which it has and I have it up and running.

I'll try and get caught up with everything over the next day or so. We probably need to make some minor tweaks to the story to work in a few more book titles now that we have more books actually read.

Hi everyone and my deepest apologies for going missing. I’m still here and participating, but so much going on in my life has pulled me away (not necessarily bad, just A LOT)! I’m currently reading A Step Past Darkness by Vera Kurian and should be finished in a day or two. Then I’ll be back to my quicker pace of reading and fully engaged again.

Congratulations on getting your team back into their own bodies. However, magic can be fickle and have unintended consequences. In this case, Judith is not quite the same. She is now part Ent. Does she accept this new existence? Does your team search for a nature cleric? Does your team search for a druid to help?

Read a book with a spellcaster
Read a book with all the letters of DRUID in the title
Read a book with a pacifist character (your interpretation)

My preference is to search for a Nature Cleric and will be starting a book with a nature scene on the cover tomorrow. I put the books I have available for either option in the spreadsheet.

I’m fine with nature cleric. I’m not interested in being part Ent for longer than necessary 😂

I can do ends in a letter in NATURE

I’ll take the charming character but could also do the pet/animal one.

Hello… How’s everyone doing? It feels like this challenge is on pause so I’m wondering if anyone has insight on its status?

I think it's due to issues in Donna's real life. There's been some medical issues she's been dealing with one of her family members.

I'm here and Judith is right. I just have a lot going on with my husband's medical issues. I am exhausted but things are progressing.

I am working on updating now so you will have your tasks today.

The nature cleric has requested that you quest for the Book of Cyrinishad. Do you look with the red wizard of Thay? Or do you search with the Harpers?

Read a book with a wizard
Read a book with a red cover (minimum 50%)
Read a book that ends with a letter in THAY
Read a book tagged supernatural

Search with the Harpers
Read a book with a secret organization
Read a book where someone preserves history
Read a book where a character tries to keep the balance between good & evil
Read a book with an MC that fights tyranny or oppression

Between the two, I’d vote for the Red Wizard tasks

I'm fine with red wizard, they seem a little easier to get

I am ok with either although a book that end with thay sound crazy hard .

Not really, there were to options for us to choose from. The one we chose was called that.

So it’s just the name of the option we picked. I hid the other one so people didn’t get confused

Thanks for the note, Catherine. I understand where you're coming from, and I too feel like the challenge has lost a lot of steam. I can only imagine how labor-intensive it is for the moderator to manage such a complicated challenge, but it's also a bit disappointing to wait so long for the next task.

The nature cleric is pleased that you have found the book. He informs you that it is a Cyric artifact and sends you on another quest. This time you must find 7 keys. They must all be different. Then you must take them to the shrines of Mystra and insert them in the statues. Place the book upon the altar in the middle.

7 Keys
Find 7 keys on the covers of 7 different books. Each key must be distinctly different from the others.

7 Statues
Read 7 books with statues on the covers or with the word STATUE (intact) in the title/ or text

I'm sorry, guys. I will try to check in more often. My life is a rollercoaster right now, and I truly understand how frustrating it is waiting on me. This won't be forever. I promise you. This will improve. It has to, right? I can't live like this, either. Something has to give. At least part of my issues are resolved, so that should help. The other part, I am hoping will be resolved soon. Or at least enough that I can relax. I am taking a weekend off from all of that right now. You guys are my priority this weekend.

Hi Donna - personal life definitely comes first so no worries! Especially since this is a choose your own pace challenge I'm really not fussed at having to wait I'd you've had stuff come up so I hope you don't stress too much. Wishing you the best :)
