Onyx Storm - honestly it was a mess... I think I'm done with the series

Heavenly Tyrant was actually quite good! It went a direction I wasn't quite expecting

@Brianna I second Kayleigh's picks! And also I did quite enjoy When the Moon Hatched although the first 100 pages or so were very clunky..

My facourite of January may actually have been Remarkably Bright Creatures although I don't usually read much contemporary!

I agree Onyx Storm was a bit of a mess. Should've been so much better. Fair that you think you're done with it. I'll see how I feel about it when the next one comes out.

Iron and Embers was quite enjoyable - I love all of the Thezmarr books!

Four Ruined Realms for me lacked a bit of the spark of the first book but I still likely it.

Breath of the Dragon was a really good more classic high fantasy!

No worries, yeah the notifications aren't great. Good to hear about Breath of the Dragon!


What are the March favourites?
How was Under Loch and Key? I still think this looks like a cute romance.

Mach round-up looks interesting, what do you think of Blood Over Bright Haven and The Shadow Bride?

March favourites probably were an Unkindness of Magicians and Blood over Bright Haven!

Under Loch and Key was alright - nothing special IMO.

Shadow bride was entertaining but not as good as the first book!

Too bad Under Loch and Key wasn't anything special

How was Terror at the Gates? It sounds good. I havent gotten Three Shattered Souls yet but I cannot wait to read that one.

@Brianna don’t let him in was dreadful - don’t do it. The women in it had zero sense.

@Brittany Terror at The Gates was a decent start but will need to see where the next books go to form a full opinion.

I really enjoyed Three Shattered souls.

Standouts for the month were probably that and Isles of the Emberdark!

Oh no! I loved her thrillers when I started reading again in 2022, so I was excited. I HATE when the MCs don't have common sense.
