Me, Once Upon A Broken Heart,
to mention a few. 🤭

BUT

Out of all my favorite books I don't believe any of them deserve a movie adaptation as
much as the Powerless trilogy.
I heard news that it there are
actually plans for it to become an
adaptation and I've never been
more excited about anything in
my entire life!
I can see other books becoming a TV show or even an animation.

But not Powerless.
Powerless deserves to be a full length movie trilogy

But what are your thoughts? 🤔

P.S. If they get the actor for Kai wrong then 🔪🔪🔪🔪

they have to get the casting right. HAVE TO
its either going to be amazing like the Hunger games books then adaptations because that was ONE OF THE BEST
or agggtm because that adaptation was pretty bad

Apparently, there are claims that Lauren Roberts plagiarized a lot of her work from other authors such as Victoria Aveyard, Tahreh Mafi, and Suzanne Collins.

Honestly, I loved this series so much and I don't know what to think of this...
But, I am still on the edge of my seat, anticipating the release of Fearless

Heard about that too although I have not read any of the red queen series or the hunger games. I did see a video of Victoria telling a bit about the book red queen ( her book) and thought it sounded awfully familiar , lol. Important to note that red queen has been out, for like, forever and was really popular for years. Not really many thoughts other than how many similarities would we start to consider plagiarism, after all we all take inspiration from things in our lives. Still liked powerless wondering if I would enjoy red queen. 🤭

I personally haven’t connected any of those books when reading Powerless, I mean sure there’s a competition, romance etc. but so is in a lot of other books, if we’re going to talk about “borrowing” things from other books, read the Black Jewels series by Anne Bishop and see if it reminds you of a certain SJM series 👀

Lauren posted on her social that powerless was a book that she would have wanted to read when she was 17. But also, you can’t write a book these days without it getting compared, and yes i do see similarities but there are millions of books out there that are similar to each other!

I think what people are debating is how similar the plots are and the storyline. Not sure though I haven’t read both of the authors books.

I mean if we are going to talk about books and plots being the same, then let me name the endless list of romantasy "THE she has to marry her enemy and kill him", "THE she is the chosen one to end a war", "THE there is a prophecy that has to be broken", "THE there is deadly trial that she needs to win", "THE she needs to save her people/family so she needs to team up with a hot vampire/elf/king/warrior etc." and and countless others books/plots.

They are all the same, just pick your poison/trope.

Yeah I definitely see the similarities but I still loved the books and honestly at least half of the romance books out there copy one another in some way or another but I cant wait for fearless.

They need to get Kai right. Or there are gonna be angry fans

I recommend not to keep your hopes up. movie deals actually happen alot in the book industry. And most of the time the deals don't go through in the end.
