Having just finished the first one, am going to glut on this series. Starting a little early - wonder how things will go focusing on Beckett.

I'm also starting this one tonight. I enjoyed the glimpses of Beckett in the first book. Intrigued to know more about him!

Chapter 5: (view spoiler)[ omg is Beckett going to adopt a duck too? LOL. It was nice to see him with his family since he's so stoic at the farm. You can tell he cares so much for them. And Evelyn obviously needed a break from her branding. I don't think her agency gets her at all. Love that of course she has to stay with Beckett because there's no rooms at the bed & breakfast. Something tells me she will be staying there the entire time... (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 11: (view spoiler)[ so beckett has social anxiety and sound sensitivity. I actually like that we're exploring these parts of him. Hes a little intense about some things but i do feel hes opening up more. I also think that its a good idea for Evie to end her partnership with Sway. Shes coming alive again at the farm and going back to what she loves. Its nice to see (hide spoiler)]

First quarter. Nice to shift the focus to these two. Pretty sure the unfortunate timing re the festival will work in their favour.

Finished: (view spoiler)[ ok the scene with the kittens meeting the duck was adorable. He just keeps taking in strays. So at least the "breakup" wasnt huge. She told him she would be back and she left to go quit her job with Sway before coming back. I do think she still should have told him about the new job and everything before she left because then maybe he wouldnt have gone so off edge but yay miscommunication. His video message was sweet and i liked how she pushed him out of his comfort zone. (hide spoiler)]
