Carolyn | 2081 comments The Last Witch by C.J. Cooke The Last Witch by C. J. Cooke is a dark and chilling read about the Innsbrook witch trials of the 1850s and an excellent read if you enjoy fiction based on real people and events.

Kerri_M | 785 comments Just finished new to me author and #1 in series A Killer in King's Cove - Iona Whishaw

A Killer in King's Cove (Lane Winslow #1) by Iona Whishaw

Read because I needed an "I" author, and I almost threw on the DNF pile around chapter 3 as it was just meandering around introducing characters. But once it got to the crime, it moved along well. ★★★☆

Will give #2 a go - when I need a historical crime borderline cozy, canadian setting or "I" author! If you give it a go, persist through the first few chapters.
