I suspect my view of this one won't be popular.

You are Your Own Fairy Tale by Amanda Lovelace
A feminist collection of contemporary poetry with some fairy tale inspiration. Much recommended, but not to be read at a go.

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments Invisible Boys by Aussie author Holden Sheppard has been made into a TV series just starting on STAN, an Aussie streaming service. #LGBTQI

I don't know how closely it will stick to the original storyline in Geraldton WA, but it will no doubt highlight the trials of growing up gay, especially in small communities, far from the Big Smoke. This is a bookcover for the series.

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments I was recently tickled to discover how entertaining A Man With One of Those Faces is. It's the first book in Caimh McDonnell's Dublin Trilogy, which is now 8 books long! I'd heard it was fun, but I'd feared it was just hype.

Carolyn | 9841 comments The Girls of Good Fortune by Kristina McMorris The Girls of Good Fortune by Kristina McMorris is the tale of a mixed race Chinese American woman living in Portland, Oregon in the 1880s. It was a bit slow and predictable for me initially but picked up around the middle and I found the MC's adventures and the historical depictions of life there interesting.

Carolyn | 9841 comments A Dead Draw (Tracy Crosswhite, #11) by Robert Dugoni A Dead Draw by Robert Dugoni #11 in his Tracy Crosswhite series takes us back to the start of the series to the event that drove her to become a detective. Perhaps not the best book of the series, having a slower build up, but an important addition to Tracy's ongoing story which fans of the series will enjoy.
