Carolyn | 9840 comments All the Water in the World by Eiren Caffall All the Water in the World by Eiren Caffall is a hard book to rate. The dystopian world created by extreme climate change was shockingly well done and provided a lot of food for thought (and I like books that make me think). The writing and characters were also good but the plot was slow and very predictable.

Mine is an outlier review for this fantasy-romance. It had too much romance and too little fantasy for my liking.

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments If they've found The Wrong Hands, then whose are they? This is Mark Billingham's Detective Miller #2, but it could easily be a standalone. He is an experienced author who leads us gently through back stories without making me feel guilty for not remembering who's who. 😊)

Not for everyone, and definitely not my kind of book either. But I still ended up liking this monster romance to a great extent. Go figure!

I'd expected more from these stories, but the slice-of-life was too "slice-of-life-y" for me.

Great premise but needed better structuring. Still, a decent option showing an unexplored side of contemporary China.

Carolyn | 9840 comments Making a Killing (DI Adam Fawley, #7) by Cara Hunter Making a Killing by Cara Hunter is #7takes us back to the first episode in the series where a women convicted of murdering her 8 year old daughter may in fact have been innocent. An intriguing mystery by one of my favourite crime writers.
