Carolyn | 9840 comments I loved this excellent debut novel The Slip by Lucas Schaefer The Slip by Lucas Schaefer. It's set around a boxing gym and the disappearance of a troubled teenage boy, but it's so much more than that.

Finding Love at the Magical Curiosity Shop (Ever After Street, #5) by Jaimie Admans
One of my biggest disappointments of 2025. Never thought this author would let me down! :( Mine is an outlier review yet again...

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9976 comments I'm loving the Ruth Galloway series by Elly Griffiths, and luckily I still have 5 more to catch up on. 5★s for Dying Fall. Clare Corbett's narration is perfect.

A collection of one-sentence stories that simply didn't come together.

The best thing about this cozy fantasy was probably the cover. Mine is an outlier review.

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments What with all the current conflicts, I don't know why I chose to read about that between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the 1990s, but by golly, To Go on Living: Stories is an excellent collection of linked stories by Russian/Armenian author Narine Abgaryan. It is fiction, but some is based on her own family. What DOES it take to go on living?

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments Robbie Arnott is an interesting Australian author who writes beautifully about his home state of Tasmania. As with his previous novels, Dusk stretches reality, telling the story of the hunt for a monster puma (escaped import?) killing stock and people in remote mountainous regions.
Dusk by Robbie Arnott My review of Dusk
