Forgot to add this to my spreadsheet until today... woopsie... looking forward to this... probably jump in early, at some point...

30-40% in now… alot more trauma and healing than I expected early story… just realized the epilogue is 8 chapters and 3hrs long…

Pretty much done... loved the book... ready for the epilogues to be over tho... they've been setting up everything BUT Jason...

That’s awesome… I saw spoilers to figure out why a bunch of people hate / get tired of books 4-6 and some skipped ahead to book 7+ and continued the series…

Through Chapter 7 and having a lot of fun--there's just something special about a character who is insouciant enough to say "I do great humble. Nobody does humble as well as me." I also love that the author used the word "insouciant." It's a great word. Don't have much thoughts yet, save that (view spoiler)[the whole magic house thing and training reminds me a lot of Cradle, the houses they got from the tournament.... and I find it really amusing that Jason uses the houses magic to have pop-up barbeques. A pretty common Aussie stereotype there. (hide spoiler)]

Through Chapter 26 (view spoiler)[The torture sequence was rough, but I love how Jason came out of it at the end saying "I'm coming for you, and this time I'll have pants." (hide spoiler)]

I feel like that review should end there. (view spoiler)[But seriously, the pants line made me smile each time it was brought up again, and it was at least like four times.

I wasn't expecting Jason to die to trigger the phoenix stone but I feel like I should've--I mean, duh, it's in the name.

I actually really liked all the epilogues--it makes me more excited for the next one. I'm actually especially excited to see Jason back in our world, and to meet his sister again, and the secret groups! But the multiple reviews Iain's mentioned about people skipping to get back to the world is a bit worrying. I guess we'll wait and see.

I feel a little bad for the entity currently occupying that spoiled entitled kid, who was rejected by the body's mom... Frankenstein trope gets me every time... (hide spoiler)]
