Synopsis
In a world where immortality comes at a cost, humanity clings to life through ReGen Essence, a revolutionary serum that halts aging and extends human lifespans. But with the gift of time comes a brutal price—a global Population Control Law that outlaws procreation without government approval. Life itself has become a crime, and those who break the law face mandatory abortion, forced sterilization, and even death.
Amidst this oppressive regime, Samantha Lee, a compassionate pediatric nurse, discovers she is illegally pregnant. Fearful yet resolute, Samantha refuses to surrender her unborn child to the system. Alongside her devoted boyfriend, Saul Keene, she flees into the wilderness, pursued relentlessly by the Population Control Task Force (PCTF)—an arm of enforcement as merciless as it is unyielding.
But survival is more than just escaping capture. With the world teetering on the edge of collapse, Samantha and Saul are forced to confront not just the PCTF, but the dark underbelly of VBCorp, the powerful pharmaceutical empire behind ReGen Essence. Unbeknownst to the world, ReGen Essence harbors a terrible secret—a side effect that turns its users into violent, infected creatures if they stop taking the serum.
As society begins to unravel, rebellion stirs in the shadows. A resistance group known as The Sanctuary rises, offering hope to those abandoned by a broken system. In the midst of this chaos, Samantha is pushed to her limits—not only as a survivor but as a mother fighting for the life of her child.
Meanwhile, within the sterile halls of VBCorp, Tony Velasco, the serum's enigmatic creator, faces his own descent into madness as the infection begins to claw at his mind and body. Driven by desperation, he tightens his grip on the world, even as his empire crumbles around him.
But Samantha’s journey is not one of hope alone. Loss, betrayal, and impossible choices mark her path. With every decision, she inches closer to discovering that the true enemy is not just the infected or the government, but the moral decay of a world that traded its humanity for borrowed time.
When the infection spreads beyond containment, and the line between life and death blurs, Samantha realizes that her fight isn’t just for her child—it’s for the future of humanity itself.
Thy Birthright is a gripping dystopian thriller that explores the fragility of hope, the cost of survival, and the lengths a mother will go to protect her child in a world where every breath is borrowed and every choice could be humanity’s last.
The clock is ticking. And the world is running out of time.
