Golden Age of Hollywood Book Club discussion

I wonder if there's a list of all the stars which TCM has featured in their typical series of month-long star tributes.

Either way, I want to do something similar. You know the kind of thing.

Not sure how awkward it will be but the first name I wanna enter is Van Heflin.

Been seeing a lot of him lately in various clips 'n bits.

Uncertain whether he merits an entire month of talk (??) in this humble / informal venue, is undetermined as yet, in my mind.

But he serves as a suitable example. If not VH, then maybe Van Johnson. Or Vanessa Redgrave.

Whichever the name, the point is to rank and rate. Air your thoughts. Opine at will.

In such fashion, I would like to feature a BIG STAR at a time, one by one, similar to TCM.

How to go about it?

Similar to what Osborne or Ben Mank does during any of their month-long star tributes.

I like the idea, Feliks but not sure, since there is a small (but select!) group of regular contributors, if we could do a whole month on one actor (as you mentioned). Give it some thought since it could be a fun topic.

Will do. It's just a raw impulse at this point.

But I do like the way TCM does their month-long star overviews.

'Stepping through' an actor's career milestones evening after evening.

Maybe some scheme like: 26-letters-in-the-alphabet ...30 days in a calendar month ...possible guideline.

Just happened to choose the letter 'V' at random.

p.s. this humble little film-buff nook is just a few notches shy of 400 members!

But I suppose it's natural that not every member feels compelled to speak up on every burning topic which arises...
